The PS3, it seems, has finally locked up this generation. The 360 has nothing left. Let's take a look. In the beginning, all everybody did was complain about the lack of games on the PS3. Then it got a whole ton of games, and now the best exclusives are on the PS3. THen everybody talked about how great Gears looked. Then Uncharted came out and the 360 never regained the graphics crown. Then Kinect and Move came out, and it turned out that Kinect was only used for shovelware while Move worked great with hardcore games like KZ3. Then, MS turned its back on all gamers by only focusing on Kinect Sesame Street and similar shovelware - no good exclusives. So the comeback was that mulitplats are still games. While that's true, you can't forget that they are on the PS3 as well. It used to be that people pointed out small differences in multiplats to prove their superiority on the 360. Now, even Lems of Truth can't deny the turn of the tide. The PS3 now is the system for multis too, with better looking games like LA Noir, Brink, Mass Effect 2, and others. So the 360 isn't the system for graphics. It's not the system for exclusives. It's lost it's ace card, which are multiplats, and it's no longer the system for multiplats. PSN is being redesigned according to IGN, so pretty soon, it's not going to be the system for online anymore either (unless you like paying $60 for an inferior experiecne). So my question is this: What is the 360 good for anymore?

What does "nothing left" actually mean in the reality of the current consoles? There are at least ten games on my radar over the next year that I cant wait to play on the 360 so i cant even come close to agreeing with the grandious statement that one console has dead and one is thriving. It makes absolutly no sense. sorry.

Well, the 3DS has no next gen competition and the Wii U isn't out yet, so it's normal we speak about this gen.
Anyway, I do agree that PS3 > X360, but there are other systems around this gen :S

There's nothing left to set the system a part. And in terms of next-gen - the 3DS is a flop with no games. We have no idea about what the WU is, and Carmack said that it's only just comparable with the 360. It's not more powerful. Objectively, there's no reason to choose a 360 over a PS3.

Really, did you think you were on to something here?. The 360 is good for games, its still good for games, just like the PS3. A few more exclusives this year on the PS3 doesnt make it leaps and bounds better than the 360. They're both extremely similar.

been my point for a while, this generation has been the merging of the industry to an effect. Gone are the days where the hot exclusive bares the most weight as to what console to buy... Both consoles have great games that separate them but only by the slimmest of margins.

I think your chart says it all. The 3Ds has more high-scoring exclusives than the 360 and it's library is bashed to hell and back. Why is it suddenly not okay to point this out about the 360 in system wars.

Oh I agree, but it travels into ridiculous territory when people are acting like their fav system is the best and every other one sucks because it's not their favorite system. Also, using terms like lems, sheep etc. just seems very childish to me. But hey...
The 360 is still a solid console, but honestly... Reach is the last game I played on mine. I wish it had more to offer for multi-console owners.

I haven't removed Reach from the console since I bought it. Shame, really. Fanboy post or not, the TC makes a lot of valid points, especially in that first paragraph. Any xbox fan that doesn't see MS is trying to cash-in on the wii crowd and thus alienating the original market, is downright blind.

I sold the PS3 because it lacked anything to keep me interested, Uncharted sucked balls; inFamous reminded me of [PROTOTYPE] too much, and Resistance and Killzone are more generic FPS' which I loathe. 360 Has more variety for me, and Gears was the reason I got it; INB4: GAME IS TOO GREY/BROWN! Ps3 I got when I didn't even ask, from a friend who like me shares my opinion about it lacking. For me the Xbox although being a shoddy, cheap console has better games (No I hate Reach) and the online is more smooth, have you seen the dashboard PSFails? It's bloody sexy.

I just got Forza 3 a month or so ago, I'm behind a little bit. :P And Forza 4 doesn't appear to be that much different than 3, so meh...If anything I'll get it cheap like I did F3, if I still have my 360 by then. ;)

Honestly it just limits your gaming fun when you're like "SYSTEM (insert name here) is superior and all others suck!" Honestly, if I had the time/ money, I'd own all three current gen consoles.

Yeah those are pretty bad. And some people are just delusional. I watched a video of Jimmy Page (guitarist for Led Zeppelin) blasted out of his mind trying to play Stairway to Heaven. He was so gone, after about 5 minutes of awful playing, he said into the mic "I remember the song now!" And some chucklehead was trying to defend him by saying tht sure his playing may have been awful in that video but no one can play that badly with as much passion as Jimmy Page. And it was the top rated comment. I love Led Zeppelin but come one.

Really? I like both, but I like how I can recharge the ps3 controller straight from the console. Its a pain when I don't have any batteries handy when the ones in my 360 controller run out.

Yeah well there you go. I hate the short wire on the PS3 so i had to buy two long ones. Now they trail annoyingly across my room and my coffee table acting as some form of trip hazard, plus I have to store them or dig them out and plug them in on a regular basis..meh its not much but it's annoying. The batts in my PS3 controller just dont seem to last very long and I have, at an extra cost, got a battery tree and packs for my 360 which means I always have charge and while i'm playing its charging the other packs.
I hate the back triggers also and while i have bought the little plastic clips to make they curve the natural and ergonomic way its just plain bad design. Plus my clips keep snapping off at the wrong time, guess I didn't research which 3 party mod I would need for my controller.
