Er its FAR from fail. Having HUGE battlefields with a view distance unequaled in the gaming world. Sound effects that make you think your actually there and the fact that the game can have thousands of units fighting at once! This game is looking to be something special. Yeah the 1500 Battle on U Tube is something else!sorry hermit but that looks like phail

It might be realistic....but is it fun? GamingcucumberIt's not for everyone, but if it's your thing, there's no game better than it.

ah...well than you must be one of those people who are somehow capable of judging a games gameplay based off of screenshots...and of course mistake a game like this for a generic war game without of course realizing there is nothing even remotly similar to this game out there.
I didn't say anything about graphics.[QUOTE="OreoMilkshake"]
[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"]
Did you miss the point where he said 250 square miles? When you render that kind of space all at one time, its not going to look like Crysis.cobrax75

I didn't say anything about graphics.well then what did you say? because "doesnt look anything special " doesnt mean graphics then what does it mean game play , the A.I , the huge land scape, the ultra reallistic explosions or is it the whole thing because really know one will know what you are talking about unless you elaborateI was referring to the 250 miles thing. Just don't see the appeal. This is just my opinion. No need to defend.[QUOTE="OreoMilkshake"]

you dont seem to understand what this game is like.
This game is to tactical shooters what LBP is to platformers....except rather than create levels, you create missions. The entire enviroment is pre-built for you (though there are tools for creating a new one)
LINK IT! QUICKLY!After seeing that 1,500 person battle on youtube, this does have my eye on it.

Even so, I actually do think it looks special. I'm quite impressed and my hype meter has gone up for this.
Well, since I assume you're not into realism or strategy...you would think that way. This game has my eye. OpFlash2 and this are going to battle it out for my purchase. Honestly this game looks much more promising. OpFlash2 has better graphics, but the gameplay seems too simple.sorry hermit but that looks like phail

Wow, how have I missed this? It looks...
Oh Man!
The game looks like a war simulation, the polygon count looks huge and the environment details are astounding, draw distance and the player count.
My PC is quivering with the thought of the Specs required to run this game.
I can run Crysis at medium-high at 30 fps very smoothly and comany of heroes at highest settings. This games is something else though!

this game is a war simulation...thats what its designed to do.
I will probably just get the new operation flashpoint game on the Xbox when it comes out because ArmA 2 is borderlining my PC specs on the normal settings. Plus Operation will have Co-op. I'll just get ArmA2 when/if I get a new PC next year.SparkyProtocol
honestly though, OPF 2 looks kind of pathetic compared to Arma 2...and unfortunatly even OPF1. The developer walkthrough they had during E3 was just funny to watch because of how stupid it sounded.
The guy playing got hit in the head and the guy playing just kinda shrugged it off.

I can see. That's what I'm scared of. I can run train simulatins, trucks and MS flight sim. fine on my PC. it's just this I'm not sure my PC is can handle playing this game decently.
a 9800gtx?? overclocked
qaudcore at 3.2??
I hope they desgn it well enough that even my humble Laptop can play it.
core 2 extreme dual core 2.8
and a lowly 8800gts.

Ya that OF2 demo looks awful. Arma will be the better war simulator in the end.[QUOTE="AdmiralBison"]

I know, the image quality is too good.....what with all the anti-aliasing and the high screen resolution....gross, cut the resolution by half and give me 2x anti-aliasing with higher texture resolution and more particle effects and I'll be happy!sorry hermit but that looks like phail

The final game is going to be different than the demo. On the forums the developer stated all of the changes that they made/ are making that are different than the demo. They also stated that there chracter was on god mode for the presentation and because there booth was next to and being swarmed with "Lego Rockband noobs".[QUOTE="cobrax75"][QUOTE="SparkyProtocol"]I will probably just get the new operation flashpoint game on the Xbox when it comes out because ArmA 2 is borderlining my PC specs on the normal settings. and even if it was off...there were just so many other issues in the demo that were just funny.
