Well, a 10 is not a Perfect game according to Gamespot. A 10 game is a "Prime" game. A game that cant be improved in any or very little ways in relation to the time it came out.

People have got to stop using the term "Perfect 10", no game is perfect.

This year, the only two contenders would be Alan Wake and Fallout 3 (assuming EITHER comes out this year) due to how many gameplay elements will be present and viable. However, getting a 10.0 would basically require the gameplay to rival COD4, Halo 3, and Resistance while having the storyline rival Bioshock and Portal.

In other words, the developers would have to cause a reviewer to have an epiphany of fun=good proportions to even consider it 10 worthy.

Unless something really innovative comes out, there will never be another 10 review againblizzvalve

Gamespot gave Melee an 8.9 and they said Brawl hasn't changed much from that... so AAAA is nearly impossible.

no, the fact that single player has been vastly improved to what seems to be soulcalibur 2 standered, online has been added and the best looking game to come out for wii woulden't help its score at all >.>

A 10 never meant that it was a perfect game. If you took San Andreas (which got a 10 in Gameplay, Value and Tilt) and added the graphics and sound of Resident Evil 4 (both 10s) you would have a game that would have gotten a 10.

Now, it's not even that, as you would imagine a couple games would've been rounded up under the new system.

Nonethless, it's completely unlikely that any one game would get a 10. People say LBP but really, there was no way in hell that GameSpot would've given it a 10 in Gameplay given how they marked Gameplay in the past; a game like LBP would just never be refined enough out of the box to be a 10 in Gameplay (which is basically reserved for a very small amount of games). There are always a bunch of games that could get to that super elite level but it would pretty much just be the huge outlier in the system.

Will there every be a game that is rated a perfect 10, ever again(according to Gamespot scores). Due to the great next-gen games that are coming out, reviewers can compare new games to older ones. So will there every be a 10.0 rated game out there?lee7373
