umm what HD-DVD was the cheapest

by not putting HD-DVD built-in the 360 could of help end the war sooner than instead having half the studio release movies only on bluray or HD-DVD which would make us buy basically the same thing twice

They didnt have the option of including HD-DVD in the 360 because the format wasn't complete in 2005. HD-DVD may have been cheaper but it was being heavily subsidized by vouchers and marketing, whereas BluRay was legit. Bluray could have been cheaper when it came out as well, had it not been competing with the HD-DVD foundation for the diodes that were being produced by third parties. Hint: The diode is the most expensive part, or at least it was at the time, by a long shot)

If HD-DVD was built into 360s it would have ended the format war much earlier. The PS3 was the only thing that even let blu ray be competitive in the first place. HD-DVD was crushing blu ray in stand alone players... the PS3 is what kept the war going as long as it did.

Yes they did, but as has always been the case, you can get a subscription cheaper elsewhere and it took them 7 years. But yeah, that blows.

Honestly i dont get why ppl think MS is so bad. they make a product and make profit of of it like they did with Kinect. windows 7 is great OS in a FEW ways better then XP . i dunno there isnt really much to hate about microsoft now a days. sure their past decisions were sometimes considered bad, but where would we be without them. IF it wasent for microsft we would not have steam or the windows PC platform. We would be usin Macs to play games

and guess what if u had a ps3 and there was no xbox i doubt there would be any online for it. The only reason there is online for consoles is cause MS was pushing online with XBL . without XBL sony would ot need to create online play for its platform

I always love to see how people try to Spin Bungie loathing to stay with Microsoft So much, that they chose to Evil Activision over Atrocious Microsoft.

It was my bad for not titling the thread for 360 supporters. I dont hate or dislike MS. I love my Windows 7 in fact.
