A question for fanboys.

Ok well I just wanted to point out something fairly obvious about system wars but it seems many people deny this fact. The only reason people seem to post negative comments about certain games eg. Halo 3, Killzone 2, Uncharted, Gears, Mass Effect, etc. is not because they actually think they are bad games, it is simply because it is on a system that they do not support.

People seem to find the any fault in any game on an opposing system and go on and on about how bad this makes the game. Well look at it this way, if Uncharted was on 360, 360 fans would be saying how enjoyable the game seems and how beautiful the graphics are. Not how it is a boring looking Tomb Raider clone. If the Halo series was on PS3 then PS3 fans would say how great a game it is and would not care about this whole resolution issue. Another example, I remember when Gears came out and one of the most frequent subjects bashing this game was that it was too short, and therefore was a horrible game in the PS3 fan's opinion. Well take a look at Heavenly Sword and see how almost every PS3 fan says, "But it is still an amazing game, who cares if it's a bit short."

Killzone 2, 360 fans point out how textures aren't that great. This has become one of their major arguments against it, and it apparently look like "just another shooter". If it was announced for 360, we'd see countless threads with stupid titles like "Cows owned!", "Yeah we got KZ2 Sony loses another exclusive!" And then 360 fans would suddenly start liking this game.

The amount of stupidity and blind fanboyism on system wars is almost unbelievable. My point is, being a fanboy is one of the dumbest things you can be, take a look around this board, you'll see some of the most.. should I say.. infamous fanboys, finding the smallest thing about a game on their system and glorifying that aspect, while they'll find a small fault with a game being praised on another platform, and use that a basis for hating it and constantly bashing it.

Anyway my question to those people I've mentioned is, do you really care so intensely about these small faults in games you bash, or do you just do this because it is on another platform? I know this is system wars, but this is just getting stupid.

well i try not to bash games because i try to judge games after i play them and if i dont like them i just forget about. Im not gonna make a thread saying Halo 3 sucks. But i have a PS3 and im a PC gamer so I buy some xbox games that come out for the PC. But i rather play JRPG's And MMORPG"S so thats i got the PS3{Final Fantasy , KH3 etc etc} and the PC{Guild wars}.But i also love action adventures like God Of war and DMC4

Yes well the responses i expect from them go something like, "No your wrong *game X* is overrated, horrible, ......." Or "I'm no fanboy but *system X* sucks." Or maybe they'll just avoid this post.

FORZA 2 VS GT5 -Demo of a Demo-

Its sad to see that no one can ever give an opposite system at least a tip of a hat in the possitive direction. Xbots are going into overdrive this month, and its only going to get worse and worse.

In all my days I would have never thunk that someone would honestly compare a full rleased game, to a chopped up demo. Whats funny is that GT5 does *look* better, but what about the rest of the game? Everyone is always in a rush to say graphics DONT matter, yet we get posts of "WHICH LOOKS BETTER?!?!" When the PS3 wins, as it is now in the thread on here.. Then the "Graphics dont matter" card shows up.

I am a ps3 fanboy#1. Don't own an Xbox360, own an Xbox1. Forza looked great, Forza 2 looks great. Bioshock is awsome, as is Half life. I don't care for Halo3. But it looks beautiful.

I take it that only Gamers are replying

let me start i think Uncharted and R andC is majorly overated even tho i like the PS3 they should be hypeing FFX13, KH3 and GT5 istead of those games

True. But its obvious people like to choose sides. Sorta like a sports team. None of em are really thinking straight when they choose a side.

As a consumer its best be neutral and let the consoles fight for themselves.

Don't let corporations watch while blindly charging into a meaningless consumer loyalty.

Only problem is it isn't ever contained in System Wars. It pretty big in the individual game forums as well...
