I played Doom, Doom II, Quake, Unreal Tournament, Half-Life and some other before Halo: CE came out. And I still think Halo: CE is the best FPS experience yet. My opinion, don't flame or you'll look like a fanboy.

I played Quake a little. Why does it matter? Because this is a loaded question. Without saying it, IMO, he is suggesting that the only people who like Halo will have been those who never played a decent FPS on PC.

I've played a hell of alot more PC shooters than you TC and yes I love the halo series. And no I'm not listing them because there are too many, but if they are not crysis then the answer to your question is yes I've probably played it - going back to the mid-80's.

I don't understand why people don't get it. Why can't someone enjoy a console FPS? I loved Goldeneye even though I had Half Life, Unreal Tournament, and Quake around the same time, and I really enjoyed playing Halo as well.
People have trouble with the notion that if you played some of the best PC shooters than you should see Halo as inferior. Well I've been to a lot of Yankee and Mets games in my life. But I loved seeing the Brooklyn Cyclones play baseball. Some people don't need to put a status on things. It doesn't have to be the best in order to enjoy it. As a matter of fact, usually when you stop catagorizing games from best to worst, quite often you enjoy some more of them than you thought you would have.

But are you a fan of any of the Halos? Didn't like halo 2. I loved halo 1 (played pc version), and Halo 3 is great fun with friends. I've played probably hundreds of FPS's on PC before Halo Lets see here, off the top of my head: Wolfenstein 3D, DOOM, Half-Life, Counter-Strike, Day of Defeat, Battlefield 1942, Blood, Duke Nukem 3D, Quake 3, Soldier of Fortune II, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, Team Fortress Classic, Call of Duty, Unreal Tournament, Serious Sam... But I'm a huge fan of Halo and think it stacks up well against all the titles mentioned above.

His point that he tried to make was that all Halo fans are 12 year olds whose first FPS was either Halo CE, Halo2 or Halo 3.
He got embarrassed by Halo haters on GameTrailers. That's how you know you fail as a troll if the Halo haters even have to "defend" Halo.

Yes, I have played alot of PC shooters before Halo. I dont remember all of them, either, but it goes back to the first Doom and Wolfenstein. Yeah, I prefer Halo, also.
Half life, red faction, star wars (cant remember the full name..it was first person and the lightsabre was a load of rubbish so you stuck with guns, awesome game), star wars jedi knight 2 (shooter up till you got your lightsabre :P), Quake 2 uhh theres more that I'm sure I'll remember later on. Those are some of my favs though.
So yes i have. Never found Half life all that great to be honest even when it first came out. Prefered red faction a lot more and Quakes multiplayer was godly. And I still love Halo cause you know, I've not got my head up my backside pretending everything not on a PC is inferior.
Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, Doom 2, Return To Castle Wolfenstein, Unreal, Unreal Tournament, Quake, Quake 2, Quake 3, Half-Life, Counter-Strike and a batch more. And still I consider Halo: CE to be the best single player FPS experience of all time; why is that so strange? Because it conflicts with YOUR opinion?
