A question for my fellow hermits

i was just wondering what my fellow hermits think about this. does far cry 2 maxed in DX10 mode look better then crysis maxed in DX10 mode. imo i pick far cry 2 and my reasons for it are

1. sharper and more bumpy ground textures

2. Better and more fluid soft bodies for vegetation

3. cleaner looking edges on rocks

4.cleaner looking grass

5. how fire spreeds around and how its dictated by virtual wind

6. and the fact that its an open world opposed to levels.

anyways i know most will say crysis but i was just woundering what you guys think.

far cry 2 looks like a high resolution console port (which it is). crysis warhead gets my vote. seriously, what's with the brown washout in fc2?paullywog

Have you ever played the console version of far cry 2???? i dont think you have. because if you did you would know how terrible the console version looks compaired to the pc version. its night and day.

Lucky!!!:P i only get around 30fps average for crysis and 35fps for warhead.

Maybe you should turn the texture quality to very high. then you'll see how good the character models actually look. the texture work on their faces are absolutly incredible and some of the best ive ever seen. crysis does have the edge tho when it comes to character models. their facial textures and animations rival final fantasy the movie.

cause its true!!! consoles are responsable for noobing down/consolizing so many classic games. but it doesn't bother me too much knowing that consoles are a dying breed. pc gaming is growing so rapidly at this point its hard to see consoles ever catching up. the PC gaming user base is even growing many times faster then the wii user base. with high end video cards for less the 150$ it just makes more sense to play on your pc. more economical as well.
