what console do you have and what would your second choice have been and why? i mean to choose instead of what you have? I've got a 360, and i would choose the ps3 because it's getting a lot of the same great games the 360 are getting like cod4 and assasin's creed, and it's got better online than the wii. and even though it's a long ways away mgs4 is going to be amazing, plus they're putting a lot of effort into killzone. if it wern't for ssbb i wouldn't even have to think twice about this.

Man would you be dissapointed going from 360 to PS3. Unless you like movies and a quiet console, those are by far its best features atm.
Both the alternatives are pretty crappy. Neither has a game library even comparable to the 360's, which is fustrating really, as i'm aching for another console.
i have a 360 and will get a PS3 next. I will just play smash at my friends house on his wii.:) I love my 360 but i also really want a PS3 because well i'm not a fanboy. I don't get the fanboy mentality. All these systems are great in their own right. I can't wait till the end of the year when I have enough saved up for a PS3 and HDTV.:)
I have a Wii. My 2nd choice would be a hard decission. Right now I can't choose between the two. PS3 has a nice system but lacks a bit in games. Though im really interrested in LittleBigPlanet. 360 doesnt really have any games atm that I'm interrested in and the 3 rings of death scare me :P
So its a hard one that I can answer in a year or so. I might buy another one but Ill probable stick to my Wii only this generation. It has all the games I like.
I own an Xbox 360, and I would buy a Wii for my second console. I still have a soft spot for Nintendo's first party titles, and almost zero interest in owning a PS3.
I've got a Wii and a 360. I own no games except Wii Sports for my Wii. I may pick up MP3 or atleast rent it, but no other Wii games interest me, excluding a few mutliplats, like Tiger Woods 08 played 07, it was great fun. As for my 360, which I've owned for much longer than my Wii, I've got both CoD's, Gears, Oblivion, Forza, Saint's Row, Madden 08, and Fifa World Cup. I'm going to give my Wii the benefit of the doubt. It's great to play as a party console, but excluding Zelda, it has no great single player game. As for my 360, I've been very happy with it, I've played some great games, and look forward to playing BioShock, Halo 3, and my personally highest hyped game, Mass Effect. As for a PS3, the only Sony franchise I enjoy is Twisted Metal. MGS is too slow, and while the story is interesting I'd rather act it out than watch it. As for FF, it doesn't hold a candle to BioWare's games. And with Lair and Heavenly Sword tanking, nothing is on the system that excites me in the least. Multiplats have proved better on the 360 (Madden anyone), LittleBigPlanet while it looks nice, isn't the type of game I'd play, and the other games just don't excite me - especially when most will be on the 360 anyway (Assassin's Creed, UT3, DMC). So it really comes down to the games, and right now the 360's got the games, and the Wii is still yet to shine for me.
I'd get a Wii since it's cheap, and has great exclusive games like Super Mario Galaxy, Twilight Princess, Super Paper Mario, RE4 Wii Edition, Metroid Prime 3, Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart Wii, RE Umbrella Chronicles, and the Virtual Console.

I have a 360. I have no plans to buy another console, but if someone offered me a free second console, I would pick the PS3. The only reason is that the PS3 is a powerful machine with potential. The only game that interests me is FFXIII.
PS3 does not have "better online". It's actually far worse and pales in comparison to Xbox Live.
a wii is my only console.(though i mostly game on pc)
I chose the wii because it gives me the experience that i can't get from pc gaming. 360/ps3 gaming is too similar to pc gaming now for me to bother with.

I've got a 360 and my next purchase will be a Wii. It's cheaper and has a lot of interesting aspects to it that you can't find any where else. The Wii would give me an opportunity to play games with people who are a little put off by a lot of the blood and gore that I enjoy on the 360. I'll get a PS3 in a couple years, but I'm pretty surprised and how unattractive that console is right now.
I have a 360 and consider a PS3 sometime mid/late next year, but there is so much overlap between the systems, the PS3 will have to get a healthy collection of exclusives that interest me (not to mention some price cuts). Wii, well... it has MP3, but nothing else interests me much.
I've gort a 360, Ps3 would be my next purchase. I wouldn't touch the wii with a 30ft poll. SORRY NINTENDO... I've been gaming since 86' my tastes are always evolving and I keep wanting more from my games, looks like you can't understand this. Maybe I'll get one for my mom or something...it'll help her workout or train her eyes ears nose...maybe they'll come up with a cookbook/recipe game..improve her cooking while shes at it.
I might buy it if they come out with a game that shows you how to do your income tax...then maybe i'll consider.
I only have a 360 now, I had a wii it had no games so I sold it on ebay , the PS3 isnt worth even $350 right now with a bunch of just "good " games . I might buy a PS3 when MGS4 comes out and after Smash Bros Brawl comes out
I'd Probably could have chosen the 360 for gears and DOA Beach girls instead of a Ps3 with Resistance and Motorstorm However... Sony 4 for life1 Dudes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

guys, i can see how you may have interepreted that way, but I was talking about how i would choose a ps3 over a wii!!! i just brought up the 360 for the ports, for the record the 360 has better online, better games than the ps3!
I got a PS3 because I am really interested in the games it has and the ones that are coming out for it, my second choice would probably be the Wii because of a few games I might be interested in, the 360's games don't excite me too much but I really would like to try gears, halo, etc.
