It's funny how cows say HD-DVD is dead when it has still sold more than Blue Ray overall. It's not like the HD-DVD owners have been saying blue ray is dead. Cows need to learn fact from fiction.
This has been a message from an HD-DVD owner.
http://techgage.com/news/hd-dvd_versus_blu-ray_salesIf Bluray sold that well because of the January releases I can only imagine what they will be in the next coming months when Casino Royale, Pirates of the Caribbean and a slew of others come out.

All indicators lead to Bluray overtaking HD-DVD's overall lead in the next few weeks.[QUOTE="CPM_basic"]That's because HD-DVD came out earlier. Blu-Ray is catching up quickely.[QUOTE="Onizuka36"][QUOTE="iandoe_pr"]http://techgage.com/news/hd-dvd_versus_blu-ray_sales

All indicators lead to Bluray overtaking HD-DVD's overall lead in the next few weeks. So it will finally match HD-DVD overall sales? That's not as big an accomplishment as the BR camp makes it out to be. I know they'll be threads like "teh hd-dvd is dead" etc. etc. when in fact the war is far from over.

Not only will it match them but it will exceed them. Most of the confidence from the Bluray camp comes from the upcoming release schedule and the outstanding showing Bluray had at CES this year. When you look at the upcoming release slate for the two formats the HD-DVD exclusive titles are underwhelming to say the least.[QUOTE="iandoe_pr"]http://techgage.com/news/hd-dvd_versus_blu-ray_salesIf Bluray sold that well because of the January releases I can only imagine what they will be in the next coming months when Casino Royale, Pirates of the Caribbean and a slew of others come out. Availability of better movies is the key and they get even better for Bluray in the coming months. Having Fox and Disney really commit themselves with decent bluray releases has been the big factor in my opinion.

all part of all sony's buisness plan. why they aren't sweating right now and are brushing all the criticism aside. They are still being dumbasses for all the cocky over confident statements they keep sending out. But they know the developers will still develop for them, the games will sell amazingly well still on PS3, and the fact the word of mouth will spread around about blue ray and how good it is will lead to PS3 sales that take them to dominant position again.
its quite ingenius really.

I don't know about them coming out on top, but it'll definitely help boost PS3 sales, Which in turn boost Blu-Ray sales. Which in turn boost PS3 sales. It is indeed an excellent move on their part. The sad thing is that the poor sap that came up with the idea probably got his idea stolen by an arrogant Sony exec. I don't know that, but I wouldn't be surprised. Please Log In to post.
