A Red Dead Redemption PC port would still sell well today

They have it already, its called grand theft auto 4. Bad guy stops being a bad guy, tries to have a normal life, gets pulled back into the bad life, shit goes sideways and someone dies, goes on rampage, kills bad guy, the end. Steal cars/horses, go on missions, shoot people while in stolen transportation, blah blah blah

Besides who cares? If PC gamers would simply buy a console, just one, then they could play all of these dozens and doezens of games they bitch about not being able to play every year. Just buy a ps3 and you can play all of those wonderful games that will never be on the PC, and be happy. RDR has been out for 3 years, if they really really wanted to play it they have had 3 years to do it.

I think the problem is the setting. Outside USA western stories aren't really all that popular.  It's mostly american thing and in USA PCs are in pretty poor shape when it comes to gaming.

Lame. People keep bringing up Red Dead Redemption because it is one of the few good multiplats that isn't available on the PC. 

BTW, how are you enjoying Left 4 Dead, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell Conviction and The Witcher 2 on your PS3? I'd say the PS3 and 360 miss out on more good multiplats than the PC does. I'm enjoying Outlast and Amnesia A Machine for Pigs lately...can't play those on a console either.

Borrow a PS3 or buy 1. Rent or buy the game. Play it. Problem solved. It baffles me how hermits spend $1000s of dollars on their rigs but don't want to spend $20-30 on a console game. Surely you have a friend who could lend you their 360/PS3 for a week or twoNetret0120

This is an ignorant attitude. I already own a PS3 and 360 and played it on the 360, but just because I can buy for one of my consoles doesn't mean that I wouldn't prefer to buy it for my PC. 

Some of you act like as long as you can technically play it, that is all that matters. Which would be the same as telling me to just buy that movie I want to own on VHS since I'll be able to watch it either way. Well, sorry, but no. I would prefer to buy Red Dead Redemption for my PC. The lower latency controller response of 60fps makes a big difference to me. As do clean, detailed visuals.

I can't speak for other PC gamers, but a lot of my favorite games are multiplatform games. I sunk a decent amount of time into Red Dead Redemption and I thought it was quite good.

RDR was great ... for about 4 hours.  It became too boring and repetitive too quickly.  Bugs were abound as well.

rockstar doesn't care about pc gamers.
