Such as Twilight Princess is for Wii, and Gears of War is for 360, are there any PS3 games (ALREADY IN STOCK, GAMES TO COME ARE NOT VALID IN HERE!!!) which games are worth the price of the console itself? I can think of no game on PS3 which can be called as a console seller. The best ones right now are VF5 (TOTALLY NOT WORTH 600 BUCKS) and Resistance (Good one, but there are A LOT better ones of this genre), and some multiplats, which for the fact of being multiplat gives no edge to PS. Can you think of any game AVAILABLE which can be a console seller?

There isn't one game that is great on the wii, except for super paper mario. The reason why the wii is selling so well is because of the controller, and thats it.

the first ps3 im gonna buy will be only if i absolutely have to get blue ray which i dont see me having to do

POS3 sucks, well the hardware doesn't but the SOFTWARE does, and untill there is good SOFTWARE THE POS3 will not sell.

Nah, it is more expensive then most last gen consoles, and doesn't have any games. If everything is about price. I could release snes again for 10 $, and it will sell billions.

The wiimote thingy makes a REAL difference. Some may say swing instead of tap= boring, but it really makes a change when you are playing the damn game!

It all depends on your tastes. Neither TP or Gears are worth an entire system to me. I don't think there has ever been a game besides maybe FFVII or OoT that were worth that.

It really doesn't change anything about the game besides you are holding z and pressing a and up, instead of slashing your hand right (I own and have wii), and am not impressed with it at all. I actually think it sucks right now.

Motorstorm, Resistance, VF5 are all together console sellers. Nintendo is smart with releases, they have a heavy hitter when the console starts to sell consoles, Sony AND MS didn't do this. when the 360 came out, it's only good games were multiplat. ask a 360 owner back thn, and they would say Halo 3 later justifies consoles now. look to the future, my man

price is a big factor for the wii...what big games does it really have in the nxt year compared to the 360 or ps3??? except ninty fans and ppl out for a cheaper option what appeal does it really have...even "hardcore" gamers that buy it buy it as a secondary option???!!!?

That doesn't change the fact that most people enjoy their console of choice. Everybody who owns a console this gen and thinks it sucks is in the minority... It's selling for more reasons than you think.

Yep, but as Wii and GC are both from nintendo, it makes still no sense to point that out. Even more, GC is right now dead. No more units are being produced and support is being stopped. The Gamecube Version is for this theme irrelevant.

next generation does suck. I haven't found a game that has exceeded my expectations from last gen. In its first year of last generation, gta 3, mgs2, gt3, halo, ff10, soul calibur, tekken tag team, jak and daxter, ratchet and clank,  twisted metal, ssbm, pikmin, and other games were great. What great game has been released for 1 1/2 years of next generation? TP, Geow, RFOM, and oblivion. Not really a great start.

i'd say wii sports is the game helping sell the wii

other than that, theres also zelda, mario, and wario..

now gears i'll also dismiss since it took a year until it released

but still no ps3 exclusive has matched 360's lowest scoring launch exclusive (pgr) 

forget even matching it, but still there aren't even any other AA exclusives.. 360 had kameo and pdz other than pgr

and the only other exclusives to score higher than 7.0 were two racers... nice diverse lineup

There are 3 million + user who have bought one. It's selling quite well, especillay for it's price. Right now adults are mostly buying it. When there is a price drop (or birthday and holiday season for younger audiences) it will sell like crazy.

 

In response to the topic, I feel that Resistance is a system seller to have sold 1 million copies so far. The attach rate is pretty high. To tell the truth I bought tmy PS3 because of 3 things: Resistance, Blu-Ray, and potential awesomeness.

Just so you know, Gears of War came out almost a year after 360 came out, it came out last fall, this Fall PS3 will be getting MGS4, Killzone, Heavenly Sword and more BIG GAmes before PS3's one year B-day.
