A surprised Yoshida: PSVR users spend many hours in VR

I am probably one of these people lol. Shu was asked about PSVR and he was very surprised by the amount of engagement there is among the userbase with the technology. Citing that it can be very intense.

But I thought this was DOA. I wish I'd spend as much as I wanted...but BF1 is so good. And Gears is quiet hard to master so that's what's been taking my time these last couple months but I do buy games for my PSVR so I can play them when I get the chance!

They paid $400 for the system they better spend many hours. But lets not pretend that PSVR has taken off.

I'm probably one of those people. I've spent a great deal of time in Eve Valkyrie and Driveclub VR and now with Star Wars VR I'll probably spend even more time in VR.

@Pedro: There's not a whole lot of evidence that it isn't doing well. Both sides are arguing from ignorance for the time being, but there were a whole lot of people saying that people were just going to try it and put it down.

That appears to not be the case at all =)

PR bullshit. VR is a gimmick that will soon be dead. If it isnt already...

Nothing wrong with that. Harwarde developers have been trying to push different components throghout the years (Virtual Boy, Eye Toy, Wii mote, kinect, etc, etc) and it has been proven time and time again controlers are more reliable than all these gimmicks devs try to feed us with...

Surprised people that spend $500 on a device use it? Sounds like PR fluff.

He's always surprised by something lol.. Gamers don't like indies, resolutiongate, the price of the rift, how much PS4 is selling.

Well, people spent $500 for the X1 w/ Kinect, so you never know.

What I'm curious about is how are they're getting data on how many hours people are spending with PSVR if most of the games aren't online games? Is that PS Kinect gathering data or something? Also is there hentai or adult content that could be experienced with PSVR?

VR is a waste of money, especially when you can get a PS4PRO for almost the same price.

There's a reason it did not meet the projected sales, and many stores have the stand alone VR sets sitting in cages/warehouses

I don't see how cows can continue to defend this, it's a fact it's not selling well.
