Some people still prefer to buy those past-gen consoles while all next-gen consoles are being sold today:D. a PS2 for example~

People buy one for the same reason people decide to buy VC games on the Wii.  It's also the same reason why Tetris and Pokemon are still popular.

I completely agree, they get arguably the best lineup of games on any console for a cheap price. That's being a savvy consumer, though they probably don't realise it.

It's people like us who get jipped, buying expensive, unproven hardware at launch and paying higher prices for the games.

Well some people aren't fortunate enough to buy multiple systems like the rest of us so I say more power to them!

There were a lot of great games last console generation especially for the Ps2 so I think a Ps2 is still a solid investment since 

Sony hasn't cut off support for the console like Microsoft and Nintendo. I still think Mircosoft had a lot of life left in the

original Xbox I mean if God of War 2 looks that damn good for Ps2 imagine what the Xbox could have done.

What about the ones who are buying another PS2 because their last one broke? The PS3 is $600 and doesn't have 100% BC, besides. Why not go with the inexpensive choice that allows you to play all of your old games the way they were meant to be?

I just bought one a couple months ago, and that's the reason. I haven't had one since about 3 years ago and I just wanted to play all the games I missed. Also the newer games like God of War 2 and FF12 are better than the PS3s whole library to date.

Whats wrong with playing awsome games like Okami, God if War 1 and 2, Metal Gear series, Shadow of the Colossus,
Final Fantasy XII, Kingdom Hearts and many many others, AND get to buy them for 20 bucks or less??!!??!!

Im sorry but no ammount of High Deffinition or Motio sensing or On-line or Blue Ray or anything else ANY of the current gen consoles can beat the value that the PS2 has to offer. Lots and lots of great quality games at a low price on a console that runs prefectly on any color TV. PS2 has more to offer than any of the new consoles. Just because it looks better it doesnt mean its a better game.

Well. If youre low on money I can see buying one. Shadow of the COlossus, God of War, GTA, Guitar Hero...

People buying them now are either younger people, people without the money for a new system, or people who have other systems (Wii/360) and just want to play those games for cheap.

Foreal though you ever heard of smart people? Not everyone has ants in there pants and must have the next gen ATM. In fact 90%of america doesn't even care about next gen like that. Only Impatient Gamers buy consoles when they get released.
