Reach's ending was the best part of the campaign... :?
On topic, God of War 3 and Gears of War 2 had pretty terrible endings.
Gears had a good ending, Mario games are never about the story so don't know why you put there, Reach's ending was fantastic, but I do agree on Bioshock and dead space.
Uncharted 2. Not storywise but gameplay wise. A running in circles final boss battle. mrmusicman247Ending boss was never Uncharted's strongest bone. U1 ending boss fight was decently ok , and U2 was just decently ok too, they werent bad just not spectacular. Usually you expect amazing battles at the end of every game, but since Uncharted is a realistic type of game, where the characters are avarage Joes, no super powers, no super wierd technology, and everything is pretty much smiplisct and not out of the ordinary, so it kind of hard to have a over the top boss battle when the hero is an avarage Joe and the villian is just the same. Lets see wat U3 ending will be like
Didnt read thread, but saw Darklink was the last poster and bet $100 dollars he posted something Uncharted 2 related. :P
And if he did, I would agree with him. Uncharted 2 had an absolutely terrible ending.
Edit: I was wrong.
Why are you always hating on Uncharted?[QUOTE="TheEpicGoat"]
Reach's ending is good, I like when the main protagonist dies.
Uncharted 2 comes to mind.

Not always. It has a good story just a terrible ending and the UC3 beta was bad.

How was reach's ending crappy? How else was it going to end :?lawlessxThe problem is we knew how it would end but I expected them to make me care about more of the characters so when they did die I actually cared, when Jorge goes I was like "Man if they keep that up for the rest of the characters this will be amazing" and then they didn't...
Which Reach ending are we referring to? Before credits or after? Either way I thought both were kind of bad(well the after credits one was alright, it was fun.), because I really felt no sense ofemergency throughout the whole campaign despite the plot being the fall of Reach, you'd expect something like that out of it..I really think Bungie dropped the ball on the campaign.
I don't remember that many endings out of the AAA games I've played....I guess Mass Effect 2 and Batman AA(Mainly the last boss fight) are really just the main ones I really didn't care too much for.

Maybe it was emotional but there was nothing amazing about it either, it was super predictable.

Dead Space had a good ending. But Resistance 2 having a good ending is news to me..
Oh Killzone 3, its not AAA but man did it have a bad ending.

Exactly my friend, and this is the reason why super mario galaxy is on the list. I know nintendo has been using the game old stupid story line for mario games for the past 25 years, but that doesn't mean we don't need an awesome ending after completing the game.

SMG needs Super Metroid kind of hidden ending where if you beat it within a time limit, your see Rosalina in a sexy outfit. Or something.I think it's a bit silly to get upset at a game like Super Mario Galaxy having a lackluster ending. It's a shining example of the journey mattering much more than the destination.1PMrFisterSamething with U2, we all know that Drake is going to "win", save the day, and everything is going to be alright at the end
*obvious implied spoiler*

Thanks asshat I havent beat it yet
Oh well, I guess its not that unpredictable anyways.

Uncharted 2's claims it to be its strong point.
Bioshock's ending was just so unsatisfying. I mean, its not the worst ending ever, but considering how amazing the whole game was before it just didn't compare to the epic beginning or fantastic mid game twist.
It just ended, on a ho hum boss fight that followed an escort mission.

I'm going to have to say MGS4. I loved the games story, but the ending was so forced.
Any game that has a cliffhanger ending is a bad ending in my eyes. I hate not being certain of what happened, especially when there's no sequel.
Who ever said Red Dead is CRAZY...
I love Mgs4 but the last boss battle was crap so was uncharted 2 last boss battle... The ending stories were good however!
On the other hand, La Noire last moments was stupid/ corny/ though not expected, but very rockstar like...
Bioshock for sure. Both Uncharted games had awful endings (and awful final bosses). LA Noire's ending segment wasn't particularly good - just felt rushed. Weird considering how strong the rest of the game was (other than the 'twist').DJ_LaeI still dont understand cole's decision :/
Oh, and Uncharted: DF's final boss was horrible. Ending itself was okay, but -
Actually, you know what, screw that. The whole twist and pretty much everything after it sucked.

Or because it legitimately has a bad ending? As well as being the most ridiculously overrated game this gen. And im a cow.The game has a very weak ending, weak underdeveloped plot, weak underdeveloped villain, with a very weak and forced motive. The villain didnt have a very believable motive in the game, nor did Drake to be honest. That shamballa, blue sap, centimani stone crap seemed so forced and contrived it wasnt even funny. It just came off like Naughty Dog said "ok lets make Drake go after this object for no reason. oh, lets throw a villain in here who also wants the object for no reason". The game just felt like their actions were disproportionate to their motive, and they just threw a villain in the game just for the hell of it.
