Overrated by Gamespot in my opinion, deserves a 9.0-9.5 mostly because it's not as accesible as it should be. Most people who never played the games before won't enjoy it. A game like GTA IV is available to all. Galaxy even deserved a 10 as it made a lot of people Mario fans who never played Mario before. Something I'll never understand hence why I use gamerankings now.

And what proof do you have that Mario Galaxy made new Mario fans? :| When I say accessible I mean that anyone can get into it, not just someone who followed the series like Clockwork.
And Mario made many new fans, legions of kids bought their first console and this was the Wii, Galaxy was such a steller game and the Wii's broad fanbase made this Mario game available to so many more then for a long time.
