Of course they can, and I expect they will.

Kojima used his MGS2 engine to great success last generation. Expect the MGS4 engine to power Zone of the Enders 3 for instance.

You don't spend millions making a neat engine, and never use it again. Look at EPIC, they are using the UNREAL engine for everything, and it's grandmother.

Yeah. I'm sure they wouldn't let the investment of this game engine to to waste on just one game. I'm sure other first party Sony studios will utilize this game engine for other games.

Im probley gonna have to say this engine will probley only power killzone2.....other sony devs might use some code from the engine...but i doubt any other games will use the engine...the killzone2 engine actually uses some stuff coded by resistance fall of man devs.

sony first/2nd party share technology.

I'm not sure about multiplat games (it depends on how possible it is to optimize code for other systems, the the code was initially optimized only for the Playstation 3.), but I could surely see more PS3 exclusives using it. I'd also like to see Sony do what epic is doing with UE3, and license the KZ2 engine out for some good $$$. That way everyone would be able to experience the amazing graphics of Killzone 2, just with different games :)

Forget your theory about other 1st/2nd party...Guerrilla themselves aren't just going to make ONE PS3 game.  Even their own previous work suggests that they will use this engine going forward for more PS3 games.
