About this year.....

But Mirosoft still put out more games this year that average 8.5 though they only have 3 AAAE to the lesser extent for this year, Gears 2 , Braid and Geometry wars 2.(Yes. I can us xbla games do to the fact that they're games)

This is also a sad point due to the 360 only being able to pulled through this year due to xbla. I mean they're selling Too Human that did not live up to it's hype that had several problems and only had 2 people online for $60 and then We get in the same month Castle Crasher for $10 that did everything right what Too Human was trying to do.

The point is that this year was an average year and it had many disappointment. Only, getting 2 good jrps out of the mess of jrpgs Microsoft put on their system. Socom having all of its online problem. Squire- Enix showing how behind in tech with Last remnant. Too human and Haze. This year had many ups and downs, I could go on. And I love Nintendo, but only SSBB for year and then Wii Music.....DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE WII!!!!!:evil:

This year is a draw. For every step forward that ether the PS3 or the 360 made they were one step back.

I personally preferred 360 this year. I did most of my multiplat gaming on it, and on top of that all the exclusives I bought and played/playing. And unlike most, I'm a Too Human fan (shock, gasp!).

PS3 had a great Holiday with LBP and R2. I'm not an MGS fan, so MGS4 didn't do squat for me. And I only picked up a few multiplats for PS3. If you only have a PS3, then it was a stellar year.

I think that the reason they had so much room to maneuver this year was because they took many leaps backwards with the release of the PS3 as opposed to their previous version of the console. They had more room to recover so naturally if they games for both systems are equal this year they would take a bigger leap forward.BumFluff122

I agree that the PS3 took a huge step forward, but you can't judge how well MS did by using GS rankings. Sure, you can brag about GS scores in SW but in the real world GS scores do not determine how well a system is doing.

If I were a cow I would be worried about how the PS3s sales have stalled lately (especially when we are talking about Europe)...and I would be worried about the fact that PS3 game sales never impress.

This was not the year of the PS3. It was not the year of the 360 either, granted. The thing is, the 360 is not in last place, so this year did not need to be a resounding success for MS (and yet they release the new dashboard). Sony needed a miracle, and all it could do was to take one huge step forward (and we are still waiting for Home).

try to damage control all you want but losing an exclusive to pc means 1 less reason to own a 360

this isn't about who gets my money(why play sales, this is about games), it's about who has the biggest incentive to own strictly that 1 console.. as a pc owner i would have few reasons to own a 360, and PCs DO count.. we're playing games on them, not sales numbers..i mean you're paying 10$ more for a game that gets outperformed by its cheaper pc counter part, and then paying to play that game online ON TOP of that.. what a joke

it IS a minus in the eyes of somebody who doesn't need to fork over extra money for an MS console when they can just play stuff like gears, mass effect, fable2 and gta4 on their pc with higher res.. makes consoles look like a joke (especially when it looks like the 360 only has 1 AAE retail game the whole year)
