AC Syndicate likely to be 900p and buggy at launch?

Seems like the developers haven't made mention of what resolution the console version will be. I'm assuming they just haven't figure out how well the game runs at certain resolution yet. Since its a annual game I'm expecting issues just like the last. Anybody have the same exact feeling? I don't think any future AC game will be 1080p on console as I recall Ubisoft saying console couldn't run Unity at that resolution.

Whatever it'll be, i do enjoy seeing it being ignored by most. This is the first AC that i rarely even see an article about. Good, now please die Ass Creed. Gaming will be so much better without Ass Creed and CoD.

Correct, they were both awful. commander here, on the other hand, seems to have the usual lemming visual disorder.

I mean seeing how the last one ran, would anyone be surprised if the new one ran like crap.

No one is forcing you to buy them. But for those who want those games the option should be there. Self entitlement is getting old.

Farcry 4 was fine

Last gen console kinda stop it from reaching its true visual potential. I wonder how well they can get the next far cry to run.

One thing I'll say for Ubisoft, they make great looking games. Far Cry 4 was one of last years best looking games and AC:U is a definite top 5 in the graphics department (I'm talking Ultra on PC of course), pity it's so badly optimised and, well, just generally a shit game.

I stop playing AC after Black Flag and I will not play another AC again. I can't deal with these annual release games!

this. BF was fresh and fun with the sailing and the atmosphere. I couldn't get myself back into one big city and doing the boring on-land-stuff.

I would miss the pirate music and the chants anyway.

Too be honest, who knows actually. It could end up 1080p on PS4.

1. Syndicate doesn't look as graphical intensive as Unity did.
2. Ubisoft has been marketing the game on PS4, which shows that they don't have a Microsoft deal like Unity did. Which shouldn't cause a "parity" if you believe Microsoft forced one on Unity.

All and all, who cares. The number one concern with Assassin's Creed games is CPU bottlenecks.

Its amazing how Ubisoft started a new IP and milked it to death than no one cares about it anymore within one generation and I thought Activision was bad.

I have inside info on this game. AC Syndicate will feature shit combat, nice graphics, a so-so story and an absolute mega ton of completely pointless filler content including side quests designed to save insomniacs from their eternal curse.

When it comes to review, reviewers will all comment on how much better it looks THIS TIME to plunge headfirst into the hay from up above.

Don't ask me how I have come by this information it is, as always, classified.

It's Ubisoft, bad game performance is pretty much guaranteed these days.

That said I'm surprised so many people still aren't burned out on this serie. I do still want to play Black Flag some day though, just for some pirate fun. arrrrr

Don't worry, it's not being marketed on the Xbone this time so the framerate will be the same or better on the PS4.

dream on the witcher 3 was marketed to be best on the ps4.

CDPR had an official marketing deal with Microsoft that stretched back to 2013.

Unfortunately it looks like Bethesda and MS are locked tight for Fallout 4, so I expect worse framerate on the PS4 for that game.

@abtoxin: i think we can expect 900p on both consoles, seeing how they withheld the PS4 version for the X1

I own it on Xbox One and it's anything but smooth.

not at release it wasn't, but the ps4 version was then close to unplayable but shortly after that it's smooth, if you don't think that's smooth get an mri

Except the game still isn't smooth, the framerate drops are insane.

After Unity not even a die hard Assassins Creed fan is looking forward to this

I was pumped for 3 new story new protagonist, dull 6 hours of tutorials went into Black Flag with caution but it was a quality game that made me pumped for Unity. Broken gameplay and poor plot have stopped me caring for Syndicate will wait for a sale or reviews before I see if its worth trying but Unity left a bad taste in my mouth.

The power of condensation will ensure that ACS runs 1080p locked 60fps only on Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system.

I love the historical settings of the Ass games but the majority of gameplay is just so generic and tedious these days, so it's hard to get excited about a new installment even if Syndicate is set in my home city.

Rather than reworking the whole combat system—something they should have done a long time ago—they appear to have made it even easier by adding invisibility and that stupid rope thing, which renders the enjoyable parkour pointless. Also, whoever at UBI it was that thought bringing back on-the-rails vehicular chases was a good idea should be sacked.

I will probably pick this up when it's in the bargain bin
