Hi guys,
Just finished ACII, and what an incredible game it was, an improved version over the original in every way conceivable. It probably is the most improved sequel of all time (making the first look like a beta, or prototype build in comparison).
We have seen many games with great cinematics over our gaming years (with a sharp increase this gen alone), and usually, the obligatory logo (the one that appears on the boxart of any game) is thrown in somewhere near the beginning of the game. This generation, a few have attempted at being emotionally gripping in the process (Uncharted 2, MGS4, Modern Warfare 1, among other games, timed the logo sequence in unison with an atmospheric, highly emotional sequence).
What game have you witnessed the logo appear on the screen with such impact, such emotional grip that it captured the essence of the game?
To me, it is, hands down, Assassin's Creed 2, in particular the "Sibling Rivalry" quest. It introduces the AC2 logo after a lengthy prologue, and the end result is nothing less than emotionally gripping, especially if you are aware of the events that will follow with Ezio's family. The buildup to that point emphasized on Ezio's humanity, and his strong bond with his brothers, and family. No other game this generation has so successfully timed the logo sequence with such impactful foreshadowing. In fact, I would go as far as to say that I have seen no other game pull this off so effectively in any gaming gen.
If only AC2 had that kind of momentum from beginning to end, then it would have been my personal GOTY easily (and I'm an Uncharted and MGS fanboy). I'm a sucker for well-executed drama scenes.

If you have other logo sequences to share, feel free to post it here. I would love to see some other ones done so well.
