That metacritic rating is going to drop further, the game servers are crashing, not responding, people can't join games, people are getting kicked out of the single player modes for the servers tanking... and of course this is all compounded further by half of the game not even being present so it's just unplayable...

The level of refunds taking place and problems being reported, it wouldn't surprise me if Valve pulls this down from Steam similar to Arkham Knight...

@nyadc: Funny I checked another forum and see that people are having a few issues connecting, but no mass complaints and they are finding matches. You are over-exaggerating as you have been about this game for the last two days. It was months before the MCC had a semi-functional online since you like to compare the two games. And people were losing saves in the campaigns and other glitches so that wasn't safe either.

The problems are mainly on PC. PS4 gamers are having a lot less/more expected launch day problems. PC is unplayable right now online.

A lot of my friends are playing on ps4 right now with no issues. Everybody I know playing on PC says it's unplayable. *shrugs*. I'm a Network Admin/Pen tester, and this shit has me baffled. This is what happens when you virtualize everything and go cheap on your SANS setup.

Dude, even the the official server twitter is reporting all of this, people on PC are saying it's unplayable because it's PC players, they know exactly where to draw the line on acceptability.

That's 3 hours ago and gives no specifics. People are definitely playing ranked matches on my ps4 friends list right now. I have no idea why it's affecting the pc's netcode more than the ps4's right now.

I only care about 2 modes right now. Training and online...are those available? ;)

The network is the same, the servers are the same, the netcode is the same, like that troll said it's like a 30/70 split of working and then not at all that is affecting both platforms.

Also the network is dropping and kicking people out of single player activities.

All the background animations and actions during the fights are rendering at 30 FPS and not 60 like the game, apparently it's very distracting.

So is the game always online? I read that you need to be online to play single player (what little there is) and that if the server crashes you cant get past the title screen, is that true? If so, where the hell did all the "Always online" nut jobs go?

A lot of people are now referring to this as Street Fighter Online, and worst of all the online functionality is fucked.

Cool so why aren't people mass boycotting the game since it's always online, you know, like they did with the Xbox One.

So here's the deal, the game has an offline mode on PC and for the PS4 it has to be disconnected from the network. So you can play offline, but get this, you have to be online to retain or receive any of the stuff you earn throughout playing the game, and the reason is because they're adding in a micro-transaction marketplace...

So what's happening right now, people are earning a bunch of shit, colors and so on, getting booted from the network and losing everything they earned... This whole game is a disaster, the worst I've ever seen.

This is a total lie. The game gives you the opportunity to play without connecting. Where are you people getting this bullshit from?

It's not exactly a lie, you don't need to be online, but you do if you actually want to get anywhere in the game...

Thanks nyadc for clearing that up. So it can be played offline if you dont give a crap about any of that stuff and just want to fight, that's at least good news. Still a broken hell hole though.

It is a lie. Why are you contradicting yourself? Dude said, you need to be online to get past the title screen, that is TOTAL BULLSHIT. I'm able to play Story, Survival, Versus and do training without the need to be online. The only thing I can't do is fight other players online and earn fight money but you can unlock different colors of costumes and whatnot from being offline. The game is definitely playable offline.
