Account hacking on XBL getting worse. (Multiple sources)

I remember people saying there were no sources last time and now there are multiple because this still seems to be running rampant, I hope there is something done.

People really need to get into the habit of:

A: never use the same password on different accounts

B. Change your password every so often.

Just sayin.

I've taken my DC details off of my PS3 and 360. Haven't switched them on in a month anyway.

It's very easy for someone to fall for phishing. We aren't always 100% with it, and log into stuff like 40 times a day. I bet it will happen to all of us at least once.
Sometimes the URL is almost the same, like only a few dots difference or if you don't memorize the URL it might look legit. Even the sender can be imitated and look legit. I have a dozen emails from somethingsomething@blizzard.com that are all fake.
The thing to remember is never to click a link in an email. That's the only thing to pay attention to really. But even then, some nights I can be drunk and who knows what I click :P

Very good now you have sources all articles written about the same event some guy who got his xbox live hacked and got emails at work about activities including fifa12 or whatever...It all leads to one thing some people need to stop clicking phishing links.

My friend hasn't been able to get into his account since 9/1. Someone got into his account, charged $100 in MS points. Sucks but he even admitted the password wasn't strong. What I really don't understand is, why the hell it's taking almost two months to get his account back.
