I dont like these games. But to be fair, this will still hurt the PS3 because that series was primarily on Playstation. Am i glad I got a 360. PS3 is looking less apealing everyday.
The last AC was a dissapointment with the horribly written radio traffic storyline voiced apparently by the budget voice actors guild. The others in the series were great games. I'm a fan of this series but if its not online this time why bother getting it.

I assume you're talking about Zero or X. Never played them. I assume that because AC5 was magnificent.
That would be awesome and just what the series needs to stay fresh. Ace Combat 4 was amazing and one of my favorite games last gen but AC5 and the others weren't so great.
Ace Combat 5 was the best game of the series, followed by AC4. Â
AC Zero wasn't so great but still good.Â

I disagree. Ace Combat 4 was the best, followed by Ace Combat 3 (not the US version though) and AC2. AC5 and AC Zero are a distant last IMO. Air Combat (first game in the series wasn't actually called Ace Combat)Â wasn't that great but it was good for it's time and I would put it above AC5 and Zero also.

Also they are from two of the biggest Playstation developer. Namco and Capcom more or less put Sony where they are today with games like Resident Evil and Tekken on the PS1.

It's a pretty huge series. Ace Combat 4 sold about 3 million on PS2. That's more than God of War, Burnout 3, Resident Evil 4 or any game in the DMC series and only 1 million less than MGS3. It's more likely cows will try to downplay the importance of the series and Namco to the Playstation brand.

What about online would you still buy it without dogfighting? Online would be incredible if they handle it properly. The potential is great. But it's no deal breaker for me. I've actually never played online multiplayer on a console (only PC and DS), so no biggie. Still, great incentive to get XBL if they do.

I should try to play this game, some people have said its got a great story and the 4th one was a tearjerker. 4 was great, but I'm more of a fan of 5, in terms of both gameplay and story. Either way, they're great games in a great series. Plus, AC5 is Greatest Hits and AC4 goes for $10 used at GS/EB. Definately worth picking up.

where there's smoke, there's almost always fire, and there's an awful lot of smoke about Ace Combat 6 on Xbox 360.
