I have never intentionally gotten an Achievement or Trophy. To me, they're just cheap attempts at adding replay value without doing any actual work on the part of the developers. That isn't to say that I want them to go away, because some people enjoy them. And that's fine by me. I don't think every aspect of every game should be specifically tailored to my tastes.
I'll complete them if I can complete them without trying very hard. I'm not going to play RE5's campaign on Pro mode or anything like that. That's just insane.
I usually do, if the game is very boring or terrible, or the trophies are way too hard or take way too long to achieve, I won't bother with those trophies.
i like them. i don't go out of my way to 100% or platinum a game though, i just don't have the time, but if there's an achievement within my grasp i'll go for it. they add replay value and i like having a record of all the games i've played.
Kinda like them... I try going for the plat whenever possible. That being said, I really dislike MP trophies/achievements because well, they are ridiculous IMO, so if a game has MP trophies, I just quit my quest for the platinum.
Some yes, others no way in hell. I usually don't go out of my way for ridiculous MP achievements, or some where you have to play the game for an insane amount of time just to get another 20 points.
I make no attempt to get any. I don't hate them, but I do hate how crazy people can get about them. When someone plays a game or replays a game just to get the trophies or achievments a part of me dies...
i usually like to go for them unless a developer decides to be a totally dbag and make something that isn't based on skill, but time (EPIC and their lame level 100 and seriously 2.0 for starters). Only go for those if there is a reward of some kind promised (which there is) even though i'm still not happy about them.
every once in awhile i will go out of my way to get a skill or stunt based one like the RDR get 6 headshots in a row on one deadeye meter sort of thing.
im going for 1k g on oblivion purely cause i know that game inside out and it aint too hard to do, basically the guilds,story and arena..nothing taxing.Aswell as Ace combat 6 when it arrives (im an aces fan look at my two online usernames/gamertags so nuff said).
And most likely i'll end up doing forza.
Nearly done borderlands,fo3 and assasins creed on PS3 but never got round to fully plat.
I love them. I think they do nothing but add to a game. I wish the Wii had them also. I do wish PS3 had them on ALL there games. I also wish trophies where implamented more like Achievements.
the only game that i finished it's achievements is ME 2, but many games have a high completion rate, like F3 or ME.... some are very time consuming though, so i don't necessarily try to finish each and every game
I enjoy scrolling down my trophy list seeing my progress and accomplishments in each game in a quick matter, yet I won't play a game in the first place if it's not fun for me.
I love achievements. I go after any I can. However I will not buy games just for easy achievements. They give me a reason to complete bonus objectives and explore games completely.
