ACTIVISION announced Brand new Guitar Hero game...with a New Name!

Well, have you ever wished that Guitar Hero had pop music, a lot of pop music?

With DLC so readily available, and ROCKBAND's success with it, you would think that if ACTIVISION aquired some POP songs they could throw it up there for Guitar Hero fans.

NOPE.

Time to Launch a whole new series EXACTLY like Guitar Hero (Which has like 5-6 versions just this year alone) but it's called BAND HERO!

What do you guys think? I can't wait for 20 versions of this to buy with my Guitar Hero games. This all seems like TONY HAWK all over again, but who cares, right?

"For a while now, we've been asking ourselves "How different can Band Hero really be from Guitar Hero?" With today's release of the first trailer for the game, we have more answers than simply "Uh, the word 'guitar' has been replaced by 'band'." Specifically, the video lets us know that the game will feature a decidedly pop rock packed song lineup, to, y'know, make it more appealing to the mainstream ('cause Guitar Hero's soundtrack is so elitist).

It's also clear that, in addition to guitar, bass, drum and microphone peripherals, you'll be required to suit up at GAP before playing. Oh, and be a model. Will the specialized peripherals never end?

MSN Music's article on the game also mentions that the game disc will house 65 tracks (a partial list can be found after the break) and that DLC for Guitar Hero World Tour will be compatible with the game. Due for release this November on all consoles and DS, the game will also make use of the drop-in, drop-out gameplay feature found in Guitar Hero 5. Just remember: This totally isn't Guitar Hero. The name says so."

Mind you, this is all just after ACTIVISION nabbed EA's RTS talent.

With the spin off's they are creating, that may just be impossible now...until they collapse their own markets.

If they release a disc only and it is compatible with current GH equipment, no biggie. If you need to buy all new instruments to play, then there is a problem.

Well, ACTIVISION could have just released these songs as a GH expansion, or as DLC...

NOPE, created a whole new series. yay!

Anyways, while you are waiting check out SINGSTAR, over 700 songs in the SINGSTORE, and even Lips.
The best part of POP is the Vocals anyways.

I for one like all these music games... I always buy then when the price drops on them.

God no.

no they hold the 007 license,

and made the best wii game lol , quantum of solace 007 and call of duty 5 ,

get lost i rather see sony bankrupt , ,at least it serve them right- who in their right mind stoops to these tactics-600 for the flagship console 249,99 for a psp 1 that can only download its games

psp 3000 can do both play retail and download , so its easy to say which is better, lol

also add the fact wii is 249,99 more powerful and is nearly portable ,

and dsi does somtthing new that its prodecessor didnt-thats download software and have cams, psp you gotta plug in a usb cam , how silly ,

its easier to hold one thing then it is to hold 2 ,

pd0 failed, kz2-failed every single game so far that has had the best graphics or has been exclusively on the ps3-has failed ,

except mgs 4 , that would be the only exception so far

out of how many games -im not talking review scores im talking what matters most- prefits /sailes ,

and if any ones wondering where timesplitters 4 is

its gone , -at least the good developers of it are -its left to some other dev whod probably mess things up ,

so ya sony should have been the one to bail timesplitters devs out since it was their expensive console that not many people have owned at the time ,
