I think EA is going to go big with this game it will be the COD killer.
No game will kill off a COD. COD will have to kill itself.[QUOTE="i5750at4Ghz"]Can't tell much from trailers.RonJonx10

EA doesn't own Respawn.[QUOTE="i5750at4Ghz"]Can't tell much from trailers.RonJonx10

They are gonna get input from what Respawn guys they own? You do know, they don't OWN Respawn Entertaintment, Respawn Entertainment owns Respawn Entertainment. They did however sign an exclusive publishing deal with Respawn Entertainment.Lol i went and wanted to answer the phone :D
Anyways, the mood is nice. Seems like it wants to show the inhumanity of war, not just Ramboing it out.

Heh, the new trailer's obviously inspired by World in Conflict.
I doubt EA's internal team is better than Treyarch regarding singleplayer.
RonJonx10
:lol:Now Treyarch are good:? I thought we all used to say IW>>>Treyarch and they suxxxx
I liked the games this team worked on - Die By the Sword, Kingpin, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, the Quake 2 and Call of Duty expansions... Heck, even Redneck Rampage. WaW features my favourite COD campaign, the Soviet campaign. And this is the first time their entire studio is working on a single game.
Neither game is out. And COD will outsell it without a doubt. Not to mention COD will be on the XBL charts way after MOH has dissapeared...racing1750Black Ops will only have a one year lifespan. MoH has it beat.

I think your getting confused between Treyarch and Raven, Wolfenstein and Quake 2 expansions were done by Raven. Kingpin and the original CoD expansion were done by Gray Matter who are now part of Treyarch.

Edit: Misread the post. But still, CoD has this beat in sales easily.

Call of Duty 4 came out in 2007 and it's still in the Top 10. World at War was released in 2008 and still Top 5. (Was 3rd last week)
Sure a new CoD gets released every year, but the games don't just get thrown away. CoD will outlast MoH, it will outsell it. Will it be the better game? Probably not.

No, Raven made last year's Wolfenstein and Quake 4. Gray Matter made RTCW's campaign and the first Quake 2 expansion.
I love Raven's shooters anyway, they're awesomely brutal and have fun gimmicks. Someday a new Heretic should be made. Or a new fantasy Quake...

Ah yes sorry, not sure why i thought it was Raven who made the Quake 2 expansions. Gray Matter being part Treyarch def makes them more diverse. I think Treyarch could make a great new IP if they were allowed, they have alot of experience.
Isin't Singularity a Raven shooter? Looks abit generic but could be cool, i'm playing X-men Wolverine atm which is Raven, quite good, alot better than the movie!

They did however sign an exclusive publishing deal with Respawn Entertainment. Lets think about this for a second. If you just got screwed out of millions of royalties from your former employer. Wouldn't you help out a fellow game developer who's parent company just gave you seed money and an exclusive distribution contract worth millions???[QUOTE="Baranga"]

Yeah, I can't wait for Singularity. Looks like a mix of Timeshift and Quake, and that's a good thing in my book! I never bothered to watch Wolverine, but I picked up the game just because it was Raven's and liked it a lot.
Treyarch is pretty much in the same position Raven was at the beggining of the last decade - the competent and productive B team, always in the shadow of a studio they share technology and franchises with. I bet they'll be allowed to create a new IP sooner or later, especially since they're a huge studio.
I don't see why anyone ever questioned it. EALA is basing the campaign off of actual current events and DICE is making the multiplayer.
Best War Game
EA had the title
What?
Do you remember MoH? That game died so quickly when CoD came out because of how bad it was. Nobody wanted anything to do with MoH anymore from that point on.
And seriously. The new Medal of Honor is pretty much EA making CoD MW, and putting a different name on it. How you go from "I FUZOZIN HATE CALL OD DUTY WIF ALL MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!" to "HOLY SHIIIIIZZZZZZZZZZZ MOH LOOKS GODLY!!!!!!" is beyond me.
well MOH was never in COD's level. we'l see what happens
Revolution316
Well, I'd say Allied Assault and CoD1 were comparable in terms of quality. I actually preferred the campaign in Allied Assault, but the multiplayer in CoD was better.
I didn't really care for this new MoH trailer. It seemed to wander just a little bit too much. I'll reserve judgement until we see some more gameplay, but I'm expecting good things.

That changed once WaW and its quite enjoyable campaign came out and MW2 tanked.Honestly, I'm hyped for both Black Ops and MoH. The former is tackling a favorite subject of mine, and it's being made by Treyarch (you know, the team that DIDN'T make MW2). The latter looks to be a much-needed reboot of the franchise, and it's tackling its setting in a mature, serious manner. Actually pitting you against Al Qaeda and Taliban in Afghanistan and centering around guerrilla warfare and covert ops sounds a crapload more appealing than assaulting some oddly unnamed Mid-East nation that has the capacity to successfully engage the whole freaking US military with outdated, export variants of Soviet equipment.

If thats true and the ex IW devs are helping on this thing, then CoD has no chance. You have the skill of the main dev team, the MP dev team (DICE), and consulting from Respawn? Instant winI say.
