If what Activision is alleging is true than West and Zampella have been behaving unethically. According to this article West and Zampella were upset about Treyarch working on any of the COD branded games. West and Zampella were so upset that they basically tried to sabotage the Treyarch games and hurt sales of the Treyarch developed COD games. Worst part is that EA may have been involved in the sabotaging of Treyarch's games. Judging from EA's past I wouldn't put it passed them to do such a thing. Secret meetings and text messages between IW's heads and EA execs suggest that EA was part of it and that West and Zampella already made plans to go to EA long before they were fired.

The employee texted West that "treyarch released their mp dlc video." West responded: "Super nice? We release our video? Crush and destroy with our video." The employee answered: "We already did. And . . . we already did." West's following comment: "Nice." Thus, West's own words reveal his intentional strategy to "crush and destroy" his fellow developers at Treyarch.Infinity Ward

Seriously, what rude little ****s. I'm personally glad that they are booted off the CoD franchise.

No, its not illegal to try and hire talent from another company but it is unethical to sabotage a project that your current employer is working on.

That's assuming Activision is telling the whole truth about it - given the last couple years out of them, I have enough of a memory to think that's *something* of a stretch.

The suit may be blown up by Activision (I wouldn't put it past them), but that article makes it pretty clear there was at least an attempt at sabotage.

Its like a episode of hollyoaks but with games companies.

No side is clearly innocent here but Bobby needs a massive slap.

You mean like how Activision sabotaged IW and put guards everywhere? Oh the irony.

I have no doubt there was some wrong doing on W and Z's part, but I also have no doubt that Activision is far from saintly in this whole affair.
