Activision turning The Walking Dead into an FPS - Eurogamer

"A new Walking Dead game has been announced by Activision that will re-envision Robert Kirkman's zombie series as a first-person action game for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

The game is being developed by Terminal Reality, the studio behind the 2009 Ghostbusters game,IGNhas reported.

Whereas Telltale's Walking Dead series is canon to the comics, Activision's reboot is based on AMC's television series.

This alternate take on the franchise casts players as Daryl Dixon and his outlandishly racist brother Merle as they go on a "haunting, unforgiving quest to make their way to the supposed safety of Atlanta."

Gameplay will be a mix of action and stealth as players attempt to avoid detection. Resource management looks to play a big part in it, and you'll encounter NPCs who can either help or hinder you based on your choices.

Activision's The Walking Dead is slated for release sometime next year."

Can't say, I don't know what it's gonna look/play like. But I love The Walking Dead.

This is what Activision is going to do:
Take out zombie mode from Black Ops.
Put it on it's own separate disk.
Call it The Walking Dead FPS.

Oh yay, another zombie shooter. Something so overdone that Rockstar completely changed their goal and reverted their design goals on a game because of it.

The game known as Agent was originally a zombie shooter, but the success of Dead Rising and growing popularity in games like Left 4 Dead and World at War zombies had Rockstar reconsider making a full zombie game.

But hey, its a good universe. Dead Island was able to wring some life out of zombies, Left 4 Dead is still fun, Dead Rising 2 was a blast, Undead Nightmare was enjoyable, Black Ops zombies is always good with friends, an occasional match of Killing Floor is addicting, I played some Dead Island last night to be honest, and I guess one more zombie game wouldn't hurt as long as its fun.

either its going to be stand alone zombie mode from CoD or its going to be a l4d clone. confirmed XD
