Project Gotham Racing 3. I got my 360 solely for that game back in 2005. Hey what Can I say, I love racers... And your wrong. While I look forward to Halo 3, it didnt define me getting my console. :shock: Why the hell would I get a system then have to wait 2 years for one game....oops PS3 fans are doing that now with FF and MGS... :shock:
I've had a 360 for months and I don't even like Halo. AND I even bought Crackdown without being interested in the Halo 3 beta. I wouldn't buy any console for just one game.
Actually, I bought the Xbox 360 for several games. I was initially wowed by Mass Effect and Alan Wake, and I also wanted Gears of War. It was and remains a great game. The online play gives me heaps of replayability, and the main campaign lasted me around 10 hours of excellence. I had a blast with it. I still play the online on ocassion, but Im currently engrossed in Crackdown, another game I was looking over. I was also interested in uno, believe it or not, and that is a great game. I couldn't help myself getting PGR3, and Oblivion, obviously - and Viva Pinata was and remains a great game, it's sadly overlooked.
Halo 3 really doesn't greatly interest me. I'll get it, for sure, but Im more interested in Mass Effect, Blue Dragon and Alan Wake.

Seems like the TC's thread failed, and failed very well. To add salt to the wound, I preordered and paid for my copy of Crackdown many many many months before the Halo 3 beta on that game was announced. Yeah, that's DVD format for us. A 50 hour main quest RPG with graphics better than any screens or videos released for the PS3 all fitting nicely onto 1 DVD really shows how limited the format is...Wow...I bet if we had Blu-Ray Mass Effect would be at least 5 TIMES as good since Blu-Ray can hold 5 TIMES as much space right?! And the graphics would be 5 TIMES as good because Blu-Ray is the answer to all problems right?

Yes, without a killer app like Halo the Xbox couldn't have started off and would probably sold way less and could have flopped. However, since so many people bought Xbox because it had that killer app developer jumped on the Xbox bandwagon and the result is that the 360 now has a good catalouge, tough there is too many FPS.

I actually bought a xbox because I hated the ps2 controller, same with 360. I still like my ps3, but in my opinion they need a new controller bad. The boomerang would have been better, even tho im sure alot of people disagree with me.
if this was true, the 360 wouldn't have so high of an attach ratio of games per consoles sold..

It's the much cheaper console but it is very last gen. Xbox live is nice but you PAY for it. PSN is free. I could care less for bells and whistles so long as I can get online and play other people; and I can but for free. I'll admit as of right now the graphics are similiar if not in 360's advantage but PS3 is like 4 months old. The first crop were nothing special but same is true for almost any consoles launch in the past 6 years (unless you count gimmicky Wii games). Once developers have time to master the PS3's capabilities (as shown by footage of Metal Gear and Devil May Cry 4), their will be no contest. And the DvD format kills IMO. How is Gears (which looks amazing I will admit) so short? Why was mundane gameplay touted as being anything but? Lack of competition. But it's coming...by Q4 of 07. But hey, it isn't all doom and gloom. Halo 3 is coming. Hopefully it won't be as big a dissappointment as Halo 2.
I was wondering where the lems went..... Not at all. God of War, KillZone, Devil May Cry 4, WarHawk, Metal Gear, Tekken, and Final Fantasy. Not just one game but many. 360 basically makes Halo a 400.00 dollar game.
