After one month, do you still play Destiny?

Now that its been a month since Destiny came out for those who bought the game do you still play it?

I for myself play the game almost daily since the day it came out ( and almost everyone on my friends list does too ).

While the game fails with no story to care about, repetitive missions, useless weekly events, bad balancing mechanics in PvP, random loot, next gen loading screen, no trading system, annoying cap system on almost everything you own, no information about the available factions or even the main character your playing as, it succeeds at having addictive level up system, addictive co-op system, addictive gameplay, very well done first Raid and extremely fun PvP.

If you still play Destiny what is making you come back to it?

My answer to that is that i am investing time in Destiny not for the current Destiny but for the future Destiny.

After the mediocre beta I skipped it,and it seems that was the best choice,saved my money and got me some Wasteland 2.

Yes, waiting for borderlands to come out then I'll probably ultimately ditch it. I'm currently level 29 and need 4 more shards to reach 30. The RNG in this game is really killing it. The content is lackluster as it is, but that mixed with bad RNG is really just making me want to leave the game. I've beaten VoG on hard three times. I got the hard ship twice and the third time I just did it to help my friends so I get nothing. (One week instances is really annoying.)

Ehhh, haven't played this week. Playing Aliens Isolation and I'm kinda not missing Destiny.

Not exactly. Put about 25 hours into it. I'm not digging the post-game content so far. Making me replay missions again for the "Queen"? Introduce some new stuff, all good. Gimme, but don't cover it up in the same old, same old.

Never understood the hype, and wasn't too entertained by the beta

i play pvp only for the most part. despite its terrible balancing issues and the over abundance of op hunters in general i really enjoy it overall. the solo stuff is terrible and no where near bungie quality.

i stopped playing it after a week. went back to a combo of PvZ, Madden, and titanfall.

Im two shards away from level 28 and i just finished playing nightfall strike with my friends but yeah once you do everything its like what else is there to do? these days i just play the game to help whoever needs help in beating a strike or collecting materials.

Yes. Played a good bit of the Iron Banner last night. Thought it would be tough but it isn't. I hardly notice a difference from regular crucible tbh. Another thing I'm doing in the game is still trying to get enough ascendant shards n energy for my gear upgrades. It's taking far too long to get them all.

**** no. Was done with it in a week, and I'd honestly like my week back.

Here and there, but I'm ready to move on. The hunt for loot is one of the most remedial and unenjoyable experiences I've had in a long time and the lack of matchmaking makes it nigh impossible to tackle the game's most interesting challenge i.e. raids. I just don't have the time or the social network on PS4 to get 6 people together at a time from my friends list to grind, over and over.

If and when I do play, it's generally just to wipe out a bounty or two and then to mop up in PvP.

I stopped playing after I reached level 20. I don't know how people continue to play this game after they beat the campaign and all the strikes. There is seriously no content to keep you attached to the game.

I still play pretty much everyday. Unless there's some crazy improvements, I can't see myself picking it up again much once MCC comes out.

Bungie failed to realise that MMOs and games with MMO-features will die due to a weak launch. No amount of promises can keep players. Many full-fledged MMOs have tried that and failed miserably.

The beta saved me lots of money.

I play daily, I guess the gameplay and controls feel awesome enough to where I can knock out most bounties and strikes with ease. In a clan now for destiny so also working on helping clan members keeps things interesting.

Exactly. If this game was on pc as a normal MMO release it would be dead already. Never seen a "wannabe mmo" with such a small amount of content before.

1 raid with 3 bosses lmao. Then the final boss uses a combination of mechanics from the first two... smh.

Ditto. Its just criminal to have enemies located in one place, kill said enemies, only to return five minutes later and find the same enemies in the same location. It removes any sense of forward momentum and for me....any sense of fun.

Probably the best FPS gameplay I have ever played, for one.

I will also keep playing at least until I get all the achievments (only have a handful more to go -- completing a raid without dying might not happen though).

Overall, I just enjoy the game even with it's warts that become more and more noticeable the more I play.

I still play because it's a good shooter and I like the looting system. People who stopped playing before reaching level 20 haven't even played the real game yet.

Got it with PS4 Bundle, played it for a week. Game didn't feel rewarding and the gameplay doesn't exactly keep me wanting to play. So I say it was semi-fun for that one week.

I still play it. Mainly for Strikes, bounties, and Public Events. Occasionally my friends and I will do Crucible to screw around a bit. It's honestly not a great game, but it does have a hold on me.

I should be dedicating more time to Hyrule Warriors and Shadow of Mordor though.

Yeah me and my friends list are still playing. Post game is good! i got the Monti Carlo from a nightfall strike last night so its definatly still worth it

At this stage though, i refuse to purchase any DLC for the game. Its shocking how they have left so much of the main story open ended and are no doubt planning on filling in the whole with CHARGABLE DLC

Any who has seen Black Books will understand (where some dude is haggling with Bernard Black about the price of a book, so bernard preceeds to rip out half of the book and demands he comes back for the rest when he is willing to pay full price (and when he does indeed come back, he is over charged massivly)

I still play it. Mostly because it's the only ps4 game I have atm. Can't see myself playing this repetitive grindfest much longer though, got a ton of other games to play. Bungie fucked up big time.

Yeah, I keep going back to it a bit here and there. I don't have enough LIVE friends to play raids, though... really I only play regularly with one other friend. The need to patch matchmaking for daily and weekly strikes and the raiding. I played half of a raid with some real bros I met accidentally in the Toer, and they were knowledgeable, but it was honestly no different of an experience I would have had with matchmaking.

Me either and it seems on my friends list a lot of them have stopped playing.

yea because fighting the same content again just with enemies scaled to 20+ and possible more/yellow versions of them... is a totally different experience... yup... totally....

Horse shit. Stopped at level 28 because the game was EXACTLY the same as it was at level 20.

What's Destiny? I forgot.

The only difference between grinding to level 20 and grinding to level 30 is that from 20-30, the only thing that matters is farming Ascendant Shards and Strange Coins. The odd equipment upgrade between farming coins and shards is the only carrot on a stick keeping you doing it.
