I just downloaded the Multiplayer demo for GRAW 2 the other day and WOW, I was very impressed! Now dont get me wrong I love Gears and think its a fun game but after playing this amazing GRAW 2 demo, I have to admit that Gears lacks in some areas. For starters, while gears might have the better looking character models, GRAW 2 OWNS gears in the map and level detail department!! The maps in GRAW just feel so much more alive and like your really there while the maps in gears seem dead with no real lighting or shadows, no physics or movement in the enviroments. The Enviroments in gears are really stale with no interaction. With graw 2 you really feel like your in a living and breathing world whereas with gears it feels like the maps where just copy and pasted. Im not the only one that feels this way, everytime I play the graw 2 demo I hear people say how this game will own gears. Any thoughts?!

well, not to me. Gears still looks better to me and i find it more fun but that's just me.

Gears 2 will be better. that I can assure youbecause they are actually going to think about making a multiplayer component instead of just adding later in development.
Agreed. Except for its Shiny finish, gears was a mediocre game at best. But Lemmings all the lemmings fooled themselves into thinking it was better than it really is. Ive always held the opinion that as far as cover based shooters go, GRAW is better.

Some people love it. I've not had that much fun with a shooter in a long time, Halo included. But you may just write that off as me fooling myself since it does not match your opinion that it is mediocre at best.
Rainbow Six owns in the cover-based shooters. Gears was a mediocre game, just wasn't that much fun. Getting pulled into a chainsaw, and have shotgun-only matches (which is pretty much a regular match in Gears) were dull. The single-player was bomb though. Loved the co-op.
graw 2 does look amazing and is a very solid multiplayer but iv never once found myself comparing it to gears. graw is more of a slow paced tactical game (i dont mean that in a bad way) while gears seems to have a more fast paced tactical edge to it where you also need to be extra careful since theres no respawns. both games are fantastic online but for different reasons.

I agree and GRAW 2 just felt like GRAW with a few different environments........so GRAW 2 felt like a rehash
i played the graw 2 demo and personally thought it blew and i am a rainbow six vegas fan but anyway no one was talking but me i mean i understand how someone could find it fun but it was nothing new from the first graw i hear

Ok, so I guess lemming stupidity and mediocre gameplay are the reasons why everyone on my friends list are always playing Gears of War or why it scored at least a 9 out of 10 from reputable game reviewers or why it has won multiple awards? Just because you don't like the game it automatically makes it overrated and mediocre? I think not. To tell you the truth Gears of War is the only game I keep coming back to on my 360 and the only game which I think has a better muliplayer than Halo 2. Yes, I own GRAW and I have played the GRAW 2 demo, but Gears and GRAW have totally different styles of gameplay and I don't think that GRAW's bad connection issues and long waiting times make it a superior game.
