OK after playing Mass effect on PC my views on the gaming Industry has changed. Mass Effect is a really great game. However I strongly feel this game is not meeting it's full potential. I think this game should be made on pc then port to console. I am going to go on bio-wares forum later on and write how I feel about this game. The game really feels like it wants to be epic however since this game was made for consoles first it was limited. I really hate seeing a great game like mass effect become so limited. Mass effects graphics is good but I feel it could have been better. I kind of wished the graphics was good as crysis for this game. I feel that Mass effect wants to be epic, however fails at that. However I love the large scale models in Mass effect. Some of the worlds could use a little more work and use more eye candy.

This game has changed my view that consoles can make quality games. I don't mind console games of such quality coming over to PC. I am starting to think that maybe console games may have some good quality games. However it also might be the fact that mass effect feels like a pc game. I also feel Mass effect is a lot better than knights of the old republic. The story line is almost the same as knights of the old republic yet if feels different. I am looking forward to mass effect2 on PC.

God i wish people would just give ME, geow and bioshock a break, there the first in the series and fantastic games. If you're just going to pick holes in them why should the devs bother making another one.

I am saying the game is really good and alot has poetical. If you had read my post! However it could be even better that is how I feel.

I think the word you're looking for is "potential".

all i'm saying is i dont see how you can ever enjoy a game if you're constantly thinking 'what if', especially console games.

Mass Effect definitely is fantastic and BioWare definitely could have spent some more time ironing it out.

Then you should convince all the PC gamers of the world to stop pirating software so much. If the devs could get as much profit out of a PC game than a console game i'm sure they wouldn't mind porting to a console.

I buy my games and I only buy CE at that. Yea it's sad to see people pirate games. However I feel that pirates could be slowed down if the hardware had some sort of protection build into them.

At the other posters fixed my grammer lol.

Feeling a game isn't as good as it could have been because it was ported is fine and all, but you just wasted 2 big paragraphs to tell me you don't feel it's epic enough just because of graphics? Surely there are other things too?

I feel The Witcher would have been better suited to consoles. The PC made it boring and slow in pace.

Not just the graphics, I just didn't write everything I think they can enprove on because it would end in a very long detail list of improvements.

BioShock is the spiritual successor to System Shock 2 (PC exclusive), which was a lot of more complex than BioShock.

Consoles generally don't limit the quality of the games, but they limit the complexity of things, mainly due to the fact that the keyboard and mouse offer more versatility and character/inventory management than a gamepad with 10 buttons.

It's not the fault of consoles that Mass Effect isn't as epic as it probably could be. There's plenty of epic games on consoles, and Mass Effect not being epic does not mean that consoles are incapable of producing epic games. It simply means that BioWare failed to make Mass Effect live up to its full potential as an epic, amazing game. Yes, believe it or not, BioWare can do wrong.

great, how about we make games progressively more and more complex until there arent physically enough keys on a keyboard to cover the controls?

The fact you see bioshock as a 'successor' to SS means the odds are you will never enjoy a bioshock game for what it is, i pity you.

Its a completely different style game than SS, is that so bad? or would you prefer devs just to recycle exactly the same stuff over and over again?

Uh.. hm. Only thing is that Bioshock IS a spiritual successor to System Shock 2 - it was billed as such, the devs have referenced it, and it pretty clearly took inspiration on everything from gameplay to atmosphere to the story from SS2.

The books are just as good. I finished reading Revelation and I thought it was fantastic. I'm in the process of reading Ascension - and so far, it's pretty good. I love Mass Effect's story, I really wish that a movie will come out of it. I don't know how Mass Effect can be any better in the next sequal, my only complaint was the small technical aspects of the game.
