After Playing The God Of War 3 Demo, I Have To Be Honest And Admit That...

It is absolutley amazing. Seriously, I had no hype whatsoever for this game before playing the demo but it has honestly blown me away. I never played either of the God Of War titles on the PS2, which is maybe why the demo for God Of War 3 has surprised me so much, but it really is brilliant. Everything is so fluid, and it looks like we might have a new contender for graphics king as well.

I'm really looking forward to the release of this game now, and I have decided that I'm going to buy to the God Of War Collection for PS3 so that I can catch up on the story and experience the first two games.

Anyway, what did you guys think of the demo?

The game is literally epic in every way judging from the demo. It's nothing less than fantastic.

Wait a sec, doesn't the GoW collection that just came out or coming out have the Demo for GoW3 on it? Is the Demo on PSN right now? Honestly, I am no GOW fan even though I bought all the games (gf enjoys them), I believe I only finished the GOW:CoO and never really touched the rest. Now I'm considering playing them all just because the demo was so enjoyable.

Canada doesn't have the pre-order thing and I'd rather not pay $40 for the collection at the moment.

Going to the US for a bit on Thursday and I'm gonna preorder it there and get the demo. I just won't pick up the preorder.

Do I have to preorder the ultimate edition or the standard one?

The demo is incredible. Do yourslef a huge favor and buy the God of War Collection for the PS3. You will hate yourself for not buying them back when they came out lol

Owning a 360 is becoming more and more annoying with all these great PS3 games coming out. I might have to sell my 360 and get a PS3 where all the action seems to be these days.

Halo 3 also advanced in story.:?

But it's true, God of War 3 improves much more in terms of visuals and gameplay. I mean there are some subtle touches in God of War 3 that just improves the whole series even more than it did in the past. Gameplay wise Halo feels like an FPS but the way God of War does it's quick time events, it's magnificent, even though I hate them in any other game.

Oh hey what would you rate GOW3? I was planning on buying it in march but since you already have it and played it enough to justify if it is a good sequal or not i would really appreciate your opinion on the game as a whole. Thanks.

GOW3 was one of my most anticipated games this gen, along with MGS4 (which turned out to be okay). Now all eyes are on GOW3 - one of the reasons I bought my PS3. I really can't wait for it. It's been a really long time since I've been so hyped for a game (maybe since the release of HL2).

There were a few cool parts like the giant dude stomping around and the flying up through the tunnel at the end, the rest of it was kind of meh imo. It'll be interested to see how this and Dante's Inferno stack up against each other. It'd be funny if it was another case of RE5 vs Dead Space with the copy being better than the original.

My brother got the demo yesterday along with the Collector's Edition. I still haven't played it.
