british newspaper have said that the violence in ninja gaiden 2 is like manhunt and the BBFC have yet to rate..alot are saying it will get high age rating..

I really don't know I'm not European I'm going back to my country this year after I finish my study I live in the UK and in Sigma cutting the enemies head was not featured.

I think they are worried that people may start committing a lot of violence especially young people which is understandable.

I don't think you'll have to worry, since MS is the publisher they will probably do like they did with Gears, meaning simply not releasing the game at all in Germany

If the BBFC dont rate it it will get a PEGI rating,making it available to anyone who wants it despite their age

Manhunt 2 was a special case

In the UK ninja Gaiden Black and sigma werent Censored at all,but the original was slightly

Haha, what a bunch of crock. I'm sure that's what he feels about chopping limbs off (or perhaps it actually is a bunch of crock) but it's certainly not the impression people who see the game get. They won't go "That warrior has been devolved into a shameful disgrace, ha! He might as well leave him lying on the ground so he can finish himself off and leave this earth with at least a smidgen of honor." when Ryu chops off the leg of an opponent, they'll go "OMG HE JUST CHOPPED THAT DUDES LEG OFF!! THERE'S BLOOD EVERYWHERE! AWESOME!" Or "CENSOR THIS FILTH!" if you're part of the German rating board.

And the game obviously isn't an authentic reenactment of ancient Japanese sword combat centered around honor and shame. You're not a samurai who shames his opponents by cutting off their fingers. It's about killing, hundreds and hundreds of other ninjas and various demons. There's no hatred involved when facing an enemy, he's just one of the hundreds you slaughter. There is no relationship.

But thinking about it, a game like that could be cool, perhaps. Never did play Bushido Blade.

Haha, he's popular because he's a douche. He dresses like a rockstar, condescends members of the press, bashes the opposition and apparently takes credit for the games over his team. He's not like most other developers, that's why he gets noted. He's very outspoken, so to speak... The impression you get is that he thinks he's better than others and knows best. He's a douche. NG2 big selling point seems to be the excessive gore. I think I'll pass, does nothing for me. I already have Sigma and NG2 seems like more of the same, but with more gore.... yawn.EmperorSupreme

not really NG 2 is much better than NG:S in all aspects judging from the videos...NG2 has that little extra something that NG:S doesn't probably from all those litle upgrades across the board ..I got bored with NG and NG2 looks like it will keep my attention.

Because they REALLY care for the quality of life of their people, you don't see kids murdering their classmates in school just because the kid got a bad day! or any of those sad histories that only happens in the U.S. or as the song says "Only in America" That's why they are better in everything, because they care about your mental and physical health!

The kills in MH/MH2 are much scarier. Maybe because the look and environment closer to real life than NG/NG2. NG2 is definitely a bloody game, but it doesn't feel anywhere near as bad as MH/MH2 does. I think it's the fact that NG/NG2 is closer to a cartoon than to reality that makes the experience so much less gruesome (or whatever other word you want to use) feeling.Fumpa

so whats the big problem? I live in England and I was playing NGB tonight and you lob off limbs and heads already in that so what is different in NG2, just the amount of blood and a bit more detail?

If gears made it through the censorship process unscathed I think NG2 will as well.
