As part of my Christmass bonus, I can get an additional 10% off of a one time purchase so $499 - $100 = $399
I know there will be plenty in stock since we took in 14 last week and they don't sell well...

Don't assume you will be able to find one at your store.

The 80 gig models have been stockpiling since the release and at $499 are still in ample supply...
um 10 percent off of 499 would make it 450 not 400...Roushrsh
I already get 10%, I'll be given another 10% for a onetime purchase during the Holiday rush. I would rather use it on something expensive...

Chances are, your employee discount on a PS3 isn't 10%. Best Buy makes like $20 profit on the PS3. I doubt your company gives PS3's away at cost to employees, unless they don't like turning a profit.

I mean with the high demand of the PS3, it'll really be a challenge
Demand will increase in November. But the item with no demand will still be there...

You work for wal-mart don't you. I paid only $350 for X360 (Pro) and Oblivion last Chrismas because i got 20% off because I knew someone who worked at walmart and he wasn't gonna use it.[QUOTE="DXGreat1_HGL"]As part of my Christmass bonus, I can get an additional 10% off of a one time purchase so $499 - $100 = $399

You base this knowledge on what?
If a company offers a percentage off to their employees, don't exclude specific items.
My company offers 10% off, and used to have days with 20% off but alas that is no more. And yes, I could buy low margain items at below cost. Paid 340 for my 360.

Management is illogical and shortsighted at times, but I've neve been afraid to fire back because my work performance speaks for itself.and I know they need me for the Holiday rush..
ps3's and wii's are sold out everywhere herei-lick-monkeys
Here's a newsflash, 1 other city or town in the world is not 'everywhere else'. I can find PS3's everywhere in my area, Wii is a bit of a challenge, The smaller towns sell out slower...

And we care because?
Um your math is terrible 10% of $400 id $50 so that would make your purchase $350. You are not smartgrimhopeUm, your reading comprehension is worse. I stated that after Thanksgiving we are given an aditional 10% off, adding upto 20% or $300 after
Hey guess what? i bought a xbox360 for 399$ last year and it still outpeforms your 399$ ps3 :lol:ut3nophysics
Then I would be a multiplat owner and get the best offerings from each system...
I'm guessing this guy works at walmart and to get around the in stock issue, all he has to do it keep it on layaway, then take it off when the extra 10% goes into effect.
I worked there when I was younger and having %10 off everything in the store was kinda nice and even better for games even though sometimes shipment would come in late on less hyped games.

They took out layaway last year. Having 10% is nice though. It's one of the benefits Walmart has that seems to be overlooked.
