I have to agree it will be queer to have an xbox ### without a game of its godfather franchise halo. A halo game would always be the top game for the box by a mile. To picture the contrast: on the original xbox the 3 best selling games were: 1. Halo 2 - 7.? million 2. Halo CE - 6.? million 3. some game with 2.? million copies sold. I'm wondering if gears of war got what it takes to take it over.

Well, most of those titles don't have a set release date, and Halo 3 doesn't either. I was just predicting which titles would release after Fall 07 (the apparent release date of Halo 3).

Umm... we don't know that. By the time Halo 3 comes out, there will be probably around 50-100 more games announced for the 360 that we can look foward to after Halo 3.

I don't know... it's possible for them to continue the Halo franchise but have it focused on a different story line. Also wasn't there talks about Peter Jackson doing some kind of game-movie hybrid of Halo? I'm sure they will milk the Halo franchise as much as they can (i.e. Halo Wars), but if they are done with Halo after Halo 3, then the Gears of War franchise can pick up where the Halo franchise left off.
If cows think Killzone 2 can beat Halo 3 then they are going to have to admit that every game in the ps3 lineup can beat it. :lol: And that 360 has good games because Killzone 2 is going to flop.:lol:

Ive heard of "Shortest Game ever of War" Then I guess you've never heard of this thing called "multiplayer". you mean "Pay 50 Dollars for Lag" There is no lag. The game takes a long time on hardcore alone, nto even the hardest setting. If you are saying it has lag you clearly havent played online. Ill play 5 games in one sitting and 0 lag maybe one every once in a while, and when it does lag 99.99999% of the time it is a result of someone quitting.

although killzone will be a good game, it by no means will kill halo 3. Halo has bigger sales than some movies. also once halo is gone, gears and mass effect will take over as franchises
