Awesome news indeed! Only ever played AoEII along with its expansion pack back on the PC over 20 years ago but very much enjoyed it. Still have it on disk actually. Am really looking forward to playing the Definitive Edition and AoEIV.

Age of Mythology continues to get shafted by MS.

Very glad console peasants use to a "cinematic experience2 will have a chance to play a real game, for Chess players.

However, can just play it on a laptop.

Judging by the name it's going to be a remake which is cool. I hope it preserves a lot of the original. I'm not a huge fan of AOE 4.

If they can update the visuals to be almost in line with AOE 3 I'll be very happy.

@kvallyx: AOE 2 is just a classic, I think it's that perfectly balanced nature that keeps drawing people in.

AOE IV is a great new entry as well, in fact I play an online match most nights, with or against friends.

If the Xbox version allows for crossplay we can surely team up for a match!

Xbox version does allow for cross play. It's a date!

Hell yeah, we can share pictures of our deformed Saints Row characters and talk about the good old days!

I have them on PC gamepass, but this is awesome news for xbox console only players.

I'm excited for the Age of Mythology remaster. Can't see AoE selling that well on Xbox because controllers are a rough way to play RTS and if people wanted to game with a keyboard and mouse they probably would already have a gaming PC (and thus already be able to play this without one of those lap tables or somesuch)... but very happy for those who have been hoping for this to release on console. 2DE is much better than 4 though IMO. 4 is ok, glad it exists, but I stopped playing and went back to 2 fairly fast
