1. Persona 4- A late PS2 release and is one of my favorite games of all time. After playing Persona 3 and loving it, I played Persona 4 and it improved on it in every single way. This game has one of the most well written scripts of any game I've ever played. I really enjoyed getting to know the characters and seeing them face their inner selves. The Socal Link scripts were very well written too and I enjoyed them a lot. I had a lot of fun with the combat and Persona Fusion is pretty addicting. Just every little thing about this game kept me hooked and I loved every minute of it.
2. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots- MGS4 is hands down the best game I have ever played. Not my favorite, but definitely the best. Everything about that game completely blew me away. From story, to characters, to enviroments, to gameplay, to the presentation, everything. I prefer RPGs over any other genre so games like FF, Persona, KH, etc. will always be my favorites, but for a game like this to hook me the way it did was truly something special.
3. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves- Just a thrilling game the entire way through and kept me on edge the whole time waiting for what was going to happen next almost like a movie. Presentation was top notch and really brought out the personalities of the characters and told a good story. Platforming sequences were a lot of fun and the gun fights were fun too.
4. BioShock- By far the best FPS I've ever played. The setting is also one of my favorites for any game. The city of Rapture was truly a captivating place. The great enviroment really helped bring a great story to life and it was just a really enjoyable game.
5. Okami- I had a lot of fun with this one. The art direction is the best I've ever seen in a video game. The graphics are absolutely gorgeous. I loved the art and animations that followed along as Amiterasu ran, or jumped, or attacked, or the ones that followed with every brush stroke. It had a great story that kept me entertained throughout and using the Celestial Brush was a lot of fun.
6. The World Ends With You- I know you said 5 but I had to mention this here. This is probably the most unique game I have ever played and I loved every second of it. Fast and fun combat mixed with a great story made this a great game. The presentation is what put it over the top though. Graphically I loved it, the way the story was told, and just the way each little thing was done really made this one of my favorite games.

Thoughts on this gen: This is my favorite generation so far. I have PS3, 360, Wii, DS, and PSP and have had great experiences with all of them. As you can see by my list, I've got a little bit of everything there (except PSP since I've only had it for 2 months :P) because each system has been just as enjoyable as the others. Each system has delivered multiple games that left me with that "Wow factor", which is something I didn't really experience until this gen, or at least not to this extent. Each gen has just gotten better and better and I can't wait to see what next gen holds in store for us.
