Thoughts on this gen: Absolutely loving it, I've already bought more Wii/DS games than I did GC/GBA and N64/GBC games and this gen isn't even over so it's great, have a huge back catalog as well which is nice. Probably my favorite gen, but yah, wasn't into gaming till the N64/PS1 so I can't really speak for the gens before that one.

Really like that the revivial of 2D games this gen, PSN, XBLA, and Wiiware have brought for some grade arcadey games, makes me have more faith in gaming.

Thougths:Regardless of what as been said,the PC is very much alive and well and it seems to me that it is the platform of choice for the discerning gamer. As for the consoles,MGS4 was a decent effort,U2 seems very interesting visually,GearsOW2 almost as good,Oblivion was somewhat disapointing as well as Mass Effect,and surprisingly,I found that the WII is an interesting system due to a game called Metroid Prime 3. All in all,it has been a good gen so far,but sligthly below the previous ones.

Thoughts-

This generation is fantastic so far, and it is only going to get better. I have played a wide variety of games due to rentals and borrowing, but I've also played through many of my own games. Most have been fantastic experiences too. There are still many games I have to play though and I'll probably be stuck in this generation of gaming for a little while when next gen begins.

I love online integration, achievement systems, and the focus on gaming community and Arcade games. I was the 360 for a long time, butreally fungames like LBP, Killzone 2, inFamous, Uncharted 2, and Demons Souls has me spending a lot of quality time with my PS3 this year. It's really too close to call as both systems have had really great games and most of the best games this gen have been Multiplat anyhow. Games like Batman AA, Dead Space, GTA4, Oblivion, PGR4, and Ninja Gaiden Sigma all deserve honorable mention as well I think.

Hard to nail down a top five for this generation. In fact, even as I look over my list, I just can't hep but nit-pick at each one of those seeing if they'd be better in a different position or up there at all. I mean, I have so many games on my mind that I can see being thrown up there. Stalker, ODST, World in Conflict, Command and Conquer, Orange Box, Empire: Total War, The Movies Stunts and Effects, Mass Effect, Call of Duty, Galactic Civilizations, Company of Heroes... I mean, the list could go on. I must say that last generation, by no means did I ever spend as much money as I have in the current generation. Just too many damn good games. It's hard for me to believe when people say this generation is the worst, I my friends, sicnerely believe this is the best.

Thoughts-

This has been a great generation for games and systems. It was really hard to narrow down 5 games. It has pulled me away from my PC for my gaming needs. My last serious foray into console gaming was the SNES, then I got into the PC for gaming. While I did own a N64, Gamecube, PS1 and PS2, I would say I never took them as serious as my PC for gaming quality. This generation has changed all that...started with the Wii, then the 360, and now the PS3. All great in their own ways.

Thoughts-

It was good its fun uh i still think last gen was really impressive but youve got to move on right so i mean the hardware for this gen has really improved for the better since in the begining failures all around for certain brands hopefuly the next gen there will be a way lesser percentage of it, don't wanna shell out almost $700 for a sweet gaming package only to worry about my investment due to this gens failures. so all in all this gen is OK could have been better.

Which company i am for? i'm with all of them, they all make great products wether it be Sony...MS...Nintendo.

Thoughts on this Gen: I think this gen is shaping up nicely, there are some things I don't like, like the heavy focus on online play and achieviments/trophies. I don't like natal or the ps3 wand thing either, the Wii is enough for me and I like ps3 and 360 how they are, I don't want to miss out on any worthwhile games just because I don't want to buy those things. I own a wii/ps3/360/pc so I've really gotten to expierience everything this gen has to offer, last gen I only had a ps2, dreamcast, and a gaming PC. I think ps3 is the best system this gen, it took a while to get going but now it looks unstoppable. I like how sony really focuses on game development, and it has resulted in some very high caliber exclusives for the ps3. I think the trend from 09 is only going to continue, with the ps3 now selling well, the superior hardware, and the disc format with 5 times the storage of a DVD, the ps3 looks very future proof to me and I believe it's going to end up with a very respectable library by the end of this gen.

My 360 has been boxed up since I bought a ps3 slim back in september, I sold most of my 360 games and only set it up today to play episodes from liberty city. I've rebought most of the worthwhile multiplats on ps3 because I don't plan on extending my xbox live another year since ps3 is free. I'm not trying to knock 360, I like it and I'm glad I bought it, but when you own a good PC and aren't a big Halo fan then the 360 loses most of its appeal.

Thoughts on this gen: Anyone who dismisses it as a shinier rehashed coat of HD paint is wrong, there's plenty of original games and great new IP's out there. All three consoles have a lot to offer, it seems more balanced to me than last gen. Online is now standard, there tons of downloadable games (on consoles) and the community aspects of XBL/PSN help make it my favourite generation yet. MS have led the charge with the online side of things, Sony are the leaders of first party exclusves/great new IP's and no-one expected Ninty to be where they are now before this generation started. So to sum up this gen in two words- cool beans. Very cool beans indeed. I'm Floppy_Jim- thank you and good night.
