Well i know what certain fanboys will say regarding the lack of improved resolution or still no added thumbstick, but i don't care, mine is bought and paid for and i'm picking it up tomorrow.

I always thought the original 3DS was way too small and i've been waiting for the larger model since the 3DS release, and now it's finally here, i'm gonna' be lovin' it.

Besides, as far as portables go, what other choice is there??? a Vita?, Please!!!, yeah it has some killer hardware but where are all the great games???

The 3DS has the beginings of a great software line up and all of the DS games too, so you just can't beat it.

It's been out and reviewed in the rest of the world for like 2 months, they have all been praising it to be far better than the original 3DS, and the better choice for the money over Vita for it's size and software library. So i already know how great it will be....watch any review on Youtube and see for yourself.

Dude come on don't come in here and saying negative thing's about his purchase, we all need to stroke the Ego and say nice things like *YEAH BRO AWESOME PURCHASE* *DAM I wish I was that cool to have one*:P

Seriously tho nice to see a option for people that want a bigger screen, personally Im gonna wait till end of the year or next year, they haven't improved on alot of the things that are little nitpicks for me at the moment.

No Problem i'm 100% comfortable with my purchase, besides, a countless number of negative comments couldn't affect me or make me doubt something i chose anyway, because i always take my sweet time before deciding on any purchase, some people say i take way too long, but once i finally let loose of my money, i assure you i'm quite happy with what i'm getting.

The $200 price point is laughable. Is this nintendos way of upping the price. It looks much cheaper, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was also cheaper to manufacture.

I was wondering if there's any 3DS XL Kiosk in the US yet? I decided to hold off on the XL until black friday but I would like to see it and try it out.

I haven't seen any. I'm sure GameStop will, though. I find it odd that Amazon isn't even carrying it.

i may upgrade to a 3ds xl and give my aqua 3ds to my friend's son. not sure yet because the dsi xl pixlated some games and they weren't as sharp as they were on the regular dsi. im hoping that is not the case with the 3ds xl.

The overall construction of the unit looks cheaper, and yes the lack of a second analog. I mean really, why not? The unit is much larger........it only makes sense to put it in there. Nothing has been improved. A larger screen can be nice, but that is subjective. Reviews have stated that the 3d sweet spot is the same, that the screen is dimmer, and that the already present pixelization is even more prominent. Now, if one is to charge more for a newer version of something, at least address some fan complaints. Vita has bundles coming out which essentially price the system at the same level as 3ds. The Xl actually makes me want to buy a vita instead.

reviews..shumews...you dont even have one...

im not good at tech side..but im glad there is no dual analog...but im semiretarded using DA that why....i like that nintendo is sticking to their guns on this... which makes me sad about them giving in on the WiiU.

you say its cheaper looking/feeling? do you have one to compare...its not out until tomorrow

the screen size pixelization... this will not bother you like the DS....again . do you even have a 3dsxl??.3ds has wii graphics which will make the game look much better on a bigger screen than the dsixl...

I do, but it isn't a scenario where I'm upset that I bought it. I've been enjoying the games since launch. Again, I still might buy the Xl--I'm just a little let down that Nintendo didn't do more with it. Like I said, the Xl is a way of essentially raising the price of the 3ds.

3DS: $200

Trade-in value: $100

3DS XL after trade: $100 ($300)

Knowing that you just paid more than a PSV for a handheld still awaiting its 2nd analog revision: priceless.

bought a 3DS at launch, kept it long enough to play Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, Kid Icarus, Resident Evil, and a small handfull of the other better titles out there....and then i sold it. I got bored and discouraged at the lack of quality 3rd party support and drought of games.

Now, i am buying a 3DS XL tomorrow morning, with Super Mario Land 2 or whatever it is called, and i cant find a single "other" game i would want to buy at this point. The game side of things just has not improved very much over the last several months, and i dont see a big improvment coming soon either. I dont know how long i will actually keep this 3DS XL. I can try to hold out for that new Castlevania game, but that got delayed until next year, so.........

But PS Vita is a whole other story. I own 24 games including several outstanding psn and orignal psp games. I have 6 games pre-ordered for the holidays....so i am not dumb enough to say Vita who.

i dont get why people argue about this, the games they both have are a matter of preferences. the 3ds has more support and games ATM but when(if) the vita picks up they will be able to get there own library of good games

Your forgetting about the far superior software lineup of the DS and 3DS...the Vita has no great software to speak of, accept mayybe Uncharted and once thats finished you have nothing.

Your forgetting about the far superior software lineup of the DS and 3DS...the Vita has no great software to speak of, accept mayybe Uncharted and once thats finished you have nothing.

Where and what exactly is this "far superior line up" that is on the 3DS?

bought a 3DS at launch, kept it long enough to play Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, Kid Icarus, Resident Evil, and a small handfull of the other better titles out there....and then i sold it.

Troll Much??? You have a total of 24 games? yeah like you said PSN and PSP games is what makes the 24 because i don't even think Vita has a total of 24 games, it hardly has 4 games worth buying. So if your not even going to admit the superior library of the DS and 3DS over the Vita then you must be a troll.

It's not really a revision, it's just ... another 3DS, but bigger. The minimal battery upgrade doesn't really matter much and the design is slightly different.

Adding another stick doesn't make business sense, it alienates a large segment of the 3DS audience. For that reason alone, I don't think we'll ever see a 3DS model with two sticks.

[QUOTE="Slimmin360"] It's been out and reviewed in the rest of the world for like 2 months, they have all been praising it to be far better than the original 3DS, and the better choice for the money over Vita for it's size and software library. So i already know how great it will be....watch any review on Youtube and see for yourself.Slimmin360

OK OK! Easy Cowboy I don't want you to feel like you made a bad investment ;)

I'm just saying don't praise it like the second coming of jesus.
