if the games not ready then the games not ready
things happen and ideas change
alot of people think too human was in development for 10 years....the too human we got was NOT in development for that long, the first idea of too human was completely different than the idea now
can't say the same for alan wake, but you get the idea....things happen, bugs happen, stuff like that
i'd rather have a polished game than a rushed one just to please impatient fans
[QUOTE="coolnessmancool"]PD had a motorcycle game that came out not too long ago which is why GT5 was not out nor was it announced for release Remedy has like 40 employees.kind of like gran turismo 5

I just have to add though so off topic. Too Human is a great game....so drastically underrated.Apparently, this game has been in development for over FIVE years now , that's even longer than Killzone 2 . To put i this in perspective , TES4 Oblivion was in development for 3 years and it was a huge RPG. There's not even multiplayer or free roaming. This game is looking worse and worse as time moves along. Back in E3 2005 I actually had high hopes for the game until now :?DracuIa68Do you like max payne?

I disagree, I liked the story quite a bit, they just didn't finish it yet- Too Human 2 please (it did sell prett well!). The death scene was annoying though, but I learned not to die.[QUOTE="CDUB316"][QUOTE="GamerX2311"] I just have to add though so off topic. Too Human is a great game....so drastically underrated. and yea, they already said it's gonna be a trilogy

Also remedy knows what their doing also the game comes out this spring so, not to far away IHow long after Death Rally did they start on Max Payne?think they started right after because MP 1 came out in 2001 and it supposedly took 5 years. Then 2 years for MP 2. Which makes sense. I mean remedy's games have been well polished and damn good so I don't mind them taking their time.

Oh, and just to add why I like it so much, I bought it for $10. Now, regardless, it's a great game, but it is short (although very replayable), but I might think different had i bought it for $60Remedy is a very small team and they are taking their time (the when its done approach). And it will come out good unlike that pile of crap called Killzone 2. SAGE_OF_FIREI'm sorry, but that "pile of crap" got a 9/10 and IIRC, it wont the most "Best of 2009" awards out of any game.

GT5 entered development back in 2005 before the PS3 was released. According to wiki: In an April 2008 interview, Kaz revealed that 150 people had worked on Gran Turismo 5 for three years..", which would mean development started back in 2005 around GT4's release date, with a very large work force.

SilverChimeraI'm sorry, but that "pile of crap" got a 9/10 and IIRC, it wont the most "Best of 2009" awards out of any game. I knew someone would say this ( :P ) but there is nothing I found positive about this game besides its mp being above average. Maybe it's just the elitist in me but this game is over rated trash that was hyped through the roof pretty much based on graphics. Story... Bland .... Characters .... Atrocious .... Gunplay .... meh .... Set pieces .... poor .... Innovation .... none to be found (and don't say that cover system). I didn't count the overall winner of most awards but I skimmed through them and I disagree with all of them where K2 won go figure. I'd give it a 7.5 or and 8.0 if I felt like being nice. It wasn't even close to as good as Uncharted 2, Demon's Souls, or Ratchet.
Not exactly, GTDH GT5p GT5 PSP and apparently a motorcycle game. So 4 games in the last 3 years on top of putting so much work into gt 5. No it's not like gt 5.kind of like gran turismo 5

I'm not saying they were blockbusters. almost all of those "games" are apart of GT5's development and make up assets that are apart of GT5 itself. the only full games developed where tourist trophy which was developed in a year, and is a PS2 title, and GT5PSP which according to most reviews felt rushed which would suggest that it had a short development cycle as well. It would be like saying Halo Reach only had 1 year of development because a much smaller bungie team made ODST, while infact the game has had a large amount of people working on it for several years and will have a total dev cycle of 3 years, just like GT5 which has had over 100 people working on it since 2005.
yeah kinda funny how there have been 5 nfs, 2 dirts, grid, 2 forzas and 4 or so race 07 games during the time gt5 has been in development. the longer it takes nfs the better the competition gets.kind of like gran turismo 5

dont worry. my bodily need for GOWIII is much worse. no mortal will be able to resist a ps3 once it comes out.seriously hate that this game is one of the reasons why I want to get a Xbox 360.
