To answer your question, yes. Those years definitely paid off. This game will be phenomenal.

remedy has an extremly small dev team.. 30 when they started 46 now. While PD has 150, don't compare.

No one's comparing Remedy to Polyphony....

Yes, but at normal dev sizes they would have probably finshed the game in 2 years lol.

but why did you tell me not to compare, when no one mentioned PD, except your self. So i take it, that you was comparing to PD. Do you realize what kind of shear perfect game forty dedicated developers could make in a five year period? Granted, that doesn't mean it has to be 9.5 or it fails epically, but don't underestimate the power of small developers.

MS is helping remedy for "free". EG: If the game doesn't make the money MS spent on it back, remedy doesn't have to worry, where Rockstar would.

Microsoft has funded the development of Alan Wake and they are publishing. Sorry, but they decide. MS loaned Rockstar the money. Rockstar paid them back and they started porting the Episodes to the other two platforms.

It has been stated as being on hold, not cancelled.
Rumours are it will come a few months after the 360 verison, at least that what some magazines are stating.
If you check the Remedy forums your seetheir quite clear to not use the word "cancelled".
If the PC version was 100% dead they would just said so, instead there going with "no comment"
ok well while your "waiting" I 'll be playing Alan Wake. I pretty much guess it will be Alan "wait" for you. SO sad.

I love whenever a game comes later to another platform everyone pulls the "i played it ages ago, who cares about it"
As if a games been out longer than a month it magically becomes a bad game.

well as of right now it is up to MS. So yeah. If that is the case I don't expect it to hit PC. If Fable 2, Gears 2, and Halo 3 didn't hit PC I highly doubt this game will too.[QUOTE="too_much_eslim"] and you know this how? Since its been stated to be canceled.Snagal123

Didn't say it was bad. Also I was stating that it wasn't coming out. I don't believe it will base don the way MS have been supporting the PC lately which is non-existent.alan wake or heavy rain? which will be a better game..
i think both will get a 9...
although alan wake being developed for so many years, doesnt look graphically any better than heavy rain, both look good, but i though alan wake would have an edge of heavy rain

They're two completely different games.
Yes because you have played it. Yup, you KNOW it will be phenomenal. Why are my AAE senses tingling? I'm expecting 8.5s all around. Not to be biased, before MAss Effect 2 came out I was expecting it to get at least a 9.5 and I had no way to get it. I'll even be getting an old 360 from a friend very soon, so I'll be able to play this. But I doubt this is gonna be the killer app it's being hyped as.Alan Wait...hahahahaha /sarcasm

*looks at PS3 sig*
It looks like Drake's Fortune was a pretty killer game app for you and that scored an 8.0.
*scratches head*
I'm pretty sure 8.5 is higher than 8.0, but hey, my counting may be a little rusty.

Lies. ME2 was multiplat from the start.
Nah,if Reach or GoW3 then yes.Looks like cows saved themselves from "Massive Damage" by having FF13 being multiplat :P I remember back in 05-07 FF13 was suppose to be THE ps3 game. It was bought out everytime when a cow show up the "just wait" list.Maybe FF13 was the biggest one this gen until now.It did get average scores, but it was hyped AAAE,and got AE and AAEs
Regisland
Vigil games, maker of Darksiders, are a studio of four, FOUR members. Yet they made a PS3/360 multiplat in half the time. Dev size isn't the main issue. It's the ambition and the perfectionnism of Remedy, who wants a perfect single player. Which is a good thing :)remedy has an extremly small dev team.. 30 when they started 46 now. While PD has 150, don't compare.
