Yes they have the game up and running, add a machine gun, add more vicious characters, more craziness and the story. I think Alan Wake will sell over time as well as sales might not be the best at first but have alot of staying power.

Add a machine gun to Alan Wake? What? :?
This game did a lot well, it took a writer, with little to no combat experience and put him in a deadly situation. It emphasized using tactics, rather than outright shooting enemies to death (especially on hard or nightmare).
They're gonna add a lot via DLC, but i'd like to see a definite sequel.
Add cover mechanic and dialogue trees too and guarantee AAANot-A-StalkerFFFFFFFFF, I hate dialog trees that are tacked on. I mean in like Dragon Age it seemed like they alter quest progression and actually being able to to do things multiple different ways, but in ME2 it was like "convince them to leave" "shoot them in the face".
Give me Max Payne!!!!! Wait on next generation consoles for Alan Wake 2DiviniuzRockstar are giving us Max Payne

I found myself accidentally shooting people in the face also. Like I selected a dialogue option and took the conversation in a totally wrong way that I didn't want to go. "Sorry man, Bioware didn't label the dialogue options accurately enough. Gotta shoot ya."

I kinda know what he's saying to be honest. There was one point during my first play through where i chose a renegade conversation option expecting to yell at the guy or coerce him into co-operating with me but instead Shepard straight up kills the guy, which wasn't really what i wanted to happen. The review does even mention that you need to be more careful and thoughtful about the options you pick, as they often have broader consequences, though they consider this a good thing. For me, i'd prefer to know exactly what it is i'm going to say to be honest, rather than picking the option which seems like he might say the sort of thing i'd like him to. But it's not a major problem by any means. Like i said, it only resulted in him killing an NPC once.I played the game 3 times and not once did I ever shoot anyone on accident. I think it was like in the beginning on Omega when those guys were raiding houses during a virus outbreak? Something like that? I can't say for sure I haven't played through the game since it came out. And yes I'd much prefer having the whole sentence put out in front of me. The abbreviations are vague and make the game less personalized (which, isn't that supposed to be the most important thing here?)I played the game 3 times and not once did I ever shoot anyone on accident. You are talking out of your ass.

Hopefully we will see a sequel because after all the years of development, and we get a less than fulfilling ending.
Still a fun game, but it needs several things...
1. Variety (I think there are only like 6 types of enemies in the whole game - including birds)
2. Alan needs cardio, he seriously can only run for like 2 seconds, and then he gets deathly tired. His movement slows to such a crawl, that it would have been better to just walk fast the entire time....Running is useless.
3. Better evasive techniques or variety...maybe a quick 180 button.
4. Extras - Aside from the manuscripts...everything else is pretty useless. Thermos? Signs that dont give you any insight? Can pyramids? There should be a reward for these things such as different outfits, special weapons...etc...
Resident Evil usually has a ton of these, and keeps you coming back...I mean seriously think back to Hunk/Tofu in Resident Evil 2.
Special Weapons and Equipment would be awesome, and should be only available after you beat the game in Nightmare Mode (which was pretty damn easy).
Headlamps? Freakin LED Lights...Automatic Rifles with Flashlights attached! Just for kicks and giggles.
But yeah I destroyed this game in like 4 days. 1000/1000 on the achieevos.

1. yes
2. or a energy bar...half the circle is for health, the other half does nothing. have a recharge color or something...so I know when I'll be able to run again
3. quick 180 sounds good, it does the slowmo for enemies in front of you...then you get axed in the back after lighting one down.
4. I'd like it so manuscripts that you've already collected don't appear on the 2nd playthrough.
fix the flipping 'focus' too(focus prompts, not the gun). I'm holding right analog and it doesn't focus on the possessed objects correctly.

I mean in like Dragon Age it seemed like they alter quest progression and actually being able to to do things multiple different ways, but in ME2 it was like "convince them to leave" "shoot them in the face". what about giving the trees dialogue? surely all of that foliage has a mind of its own.
