Check out thispostwhen Alan Wake & Halo Reach was still 720p at 30fps with 4xMSAA on the entire picture, including shadows and foliage. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=102347

He guranteed that Alan Wake will be the clearest crispest game on consoles, and this is what he had to say about halo Reach, "Possibly the most technically advanced game your going to see in at least 2 years! Halo Reach.......60+AI + Vehicles + flying = most impressive fights in an FPS on consoles."

Well I can tell you that he sure ate his hype because they both turned out sub HD, and alan wake has been reported with jaggied shadows and Halo Reach has framerate issues

But yea, the guy has a point, the best looking games on 360 are on a multiplatform engine which is not made to take full advantage of 360. If MS had more developers, they would probably be blowing away current graphics benchmarks.

halo reach x4 aa ROFL the game is jaggie as hell much more jaggies than x4 aa on my pc. plus halo reach has seriously technical issues framerate, and character models lacking detail. halo reach and alan wake both use outdated engines not taking advantage of xbox360. xbox360 has a hardware tessellators dev's arent even using it those games dont use it.

Actually Reach does some really nice things especially with lighting. And I didn't notice any problems with jaggies on Reach, very smooth overall, it's using 2xMSAA but it still looks smooth, probably have the thank the blur for that, something they copied from KZ2.

It's not. Alan Wake was a PC-focused game ported to the 360. Anyway, Forza engines are build from the ground up for the 360 I believe.

xbox360 exclusives definitely arent as polished or had as much money put into them as sonys. sony built the engine for uncharted 2 and killzone2 and gave it to devs to make the games. microsoft they dont even supply dev's with engine to take advantage of their console,.

One has a far larger scale, far more AI's, far better lighting,4 player co-op, excellent character models, excellent skyboxes, tessalated water ...

The other has pretty semi-realistic graphics, linear corridors and is ridiculously scripted.

That's not a good comparison and you shouldn't thrown in terms like tessalated. :p If you want to make a good comparison you need to look at what's and how much is going on at the screen at once.

you do know 360 runs like a pc, so my point is all the engines are designed for pc type architecture there for they are build ground up for 360, ps3 is different and its architecture is different that's why it needs a engine that is specially designed for it.
