Alan Wake and Red Dead = Awesome

I game both on consoles and on PC and i play each pretty evne, though slightly more on pc.

Just got Red Dead Redemption and Collectors edition of Alan Wake and wow, these two games are simply amazing.

I dont care what score RDR gets, it rocks and Alan Wake is still averaging 8.5/10 which is a very good score, pretty much 8.5 and 9 are the same score to me personally (i know things are differnt on system wars).

Come on people, are we gonna act like two amazing games didnt just come out?
Lets put aside any fanboyism you have and give these two games a try!

PS: Alan Wake collectors edition might be the best special edition ever, love it.

Your in for some great gaming bud! Ive just LOVED my time with Red Dead so far! Same with Alan Wake!

These two games are pretty unique to me personally.

Yeah I got Red Dead, AW and POP Forgotten Sands last night. Red Dead MP is incredibly average, but SP looks very promising. Alan Wake is just straight up awesome and am loving every moment. 2nd best game ive played this year 1st being ME2 and Halo Reach Beta doesnt count.

Neither of those games are on PC.

Alan wake is indeed amazing. I cant wait to pick RDR this friday!!! :D

I was thinking that last night, especially Red Dead on pc.. Imagine all the mods and missions people would make? Right now Free Roam has lots of stuff to do, but not huge missions. Im sure if the game comes to pc later on, that there will be hundreds of cool user made mods. This game is made for mods (:

I picked up both this morning, long lineup when GS opened, I was kind of surprised. Alan Wake is a great title, it's disappointing to me though, because I still thought that it was gonna have the free roam aspect to it, not to mention some of the dialogue is cringe worthy, the pacing is off, some of the characters are incredibly under developed, and I feel like it should have been less action based and more moody, but thats just me. It's a great game though, so far I agree with Gamespots 8.5.

Red Dead Redemption, is well...It could easily be the best game this gen, the combat is fun, characters are great, dialogue is great, everything is just remarkably well done, it just sucks you into the RDR world, it's so well crafted and everything is just amazing. Rockstar has made an incredible game and a serious GOTY contender, well done.

Agree with everything you said bud, except Alan Wake being dissapointing, its better then I expected. The atmosphere and story seem pretty well done. Though I definatly agree at the bad dialogue.

RDR is definatly up there for GOTY consideration so far! (ME2, GOW3, RDR, Starcraft2... going to be a good fight for GOTY this year)

Yeah I usually dont buy two copies of the same game, but I would in RDR's case hehe. Console version to play early and with my cousin, and PC version a year or two later for mods and better graphics :P

Donno if itll happen, but would be cool :)

Thank you for pumping me up, while i was trying to cailm down lol, last time i was pumped like this was when i got FFXIII, going to get both games since it's my birthday after 2 days...yey me!

Not at all, just excited that two amazing games came out on the same day is all...

Usually a great game will come out.. then months later another one.. but rarely on the same day.

To me this day is one of the best gaming days in ages. If Starcraft2 came out today aswell, this could be best gamign day ever :P

good games. I'm enjoying them. A bit overhyped though. But the detail in the environments and characters is pretty astounding.

I will have to get Modnation sometime. Though I dont think right away... I got Settlers 7 for pc the other week, now Alan Wake and RDR today... and preordered Alpha Protocol and Starcraft2 for pc.. some good gaming this summer me thinks ;)

Not to mention Super Mario Galaxy2... which might make me buy a Wii again ;)

Funny I went to Hastings (where I rent video games) and asked for Alan Wake, they said they didn't have that game. I said it was released today, "Oh we don't have it yet sorry" grrrr so I said well how about Red Dead Redemption? They didn't have that one either :( I rented splinter cell conviction, really wanted alan wake. :(
