Alan Wake canned?

It will still be considered in development until proven otherwise, I could think of lots of games that I haven't heard much of since their announcement, doesn't mean they're canned though.

I saw on VGcharts that it's coming out the same day as duke nukem forever, both on the phantom system.

Same with doom 3, same with the new wolfenstein, yet everybody has forgotten about that game :)

Blizzard didnt tease us and then didnt show ANYTHING else for 2 years :?. They at least work on the games and show it when they think its in a stage good enough for the fans to see, and give out information every now and then. What Remedy is doing its just cruel T_T.

Alan Wake will be released, and if you were following this game as some of us have been, you'd know that Remedy said that they'll show stuff about it when they're ready to show something, they don't want to rush it.

Microsoft already has so many games coming out this year, it would be overkill to start talking about it's fall 09 line-up.

I would be very suprised if Alan Wake (along with a new Bungie/Halo game) isn't going to come out in 2009.

I mean think about it, we didn't even know ANYTHING about Gears of War 2 until a few months ago and now we are looking at it and it looks like it's ready to come out tomorrow. Microsoft will start talking about 09 in.... 09.

You can't prove a negative. I cannot prove that something *doesn't* exist and *will never exist*. That said, I wouldn't suggest investing your livelyhood on the Alan Wake project, as it may have been indefinitely delayed. Too Human started on the PS1 - we're just about to see it on the 360. If this game hasn't been cancelled, we may wind up waiting a long time.

Nobody is talking about the fall 2009 lineup, it just wouldn't make sense. The only 2009 game we know about are coming out in early 2009.

Patience people! Alan Wake is a sure deal, Microsoft has alot of faith in it.

Dragon Age has been in development for 4 years and noone has seen a thing of it til now.

Maybe the developers want to take their time on the game.

Yea, rapid is annoying T_T u only get to dl like 200mb per hour and then u have to wait like 100 mins to dl again :?. Gimme link lol i havent dled anything from there today.

I've said this before about Alan Wake and I'll say it again:

Remedy Entertainment, the developers, have been known to have a very long development cycle with their games since that they're a small team of about 30. They took a while getting the first Max Payne released. As a matter of fact, the bullettime concept from Max Payne had been thought of before The Matrix was released. They're also a team who keeps in the dark.

Alan Wake WILL come. I'm sure of it.

Remedy has 30 people working on Alan Wake

Epic has over 130 working on Gears of War 2

Guerrilla has over 150 working on Killzone 2

Lionhead has over 120 working on Fable 2

Crytek has over 100 people working on Crysis: Warhead

Square has over 100 people working on Final Fantasy 13

Blizzard has over 2000 people working on their conglomoration of 4 games...

Starting to get the idea of WHY this game is taking so long?

I remember looking at previews for this and Bioshock, back when I was deciding which console to buy. Bioshock swayed me to buy the Xbox, and I looked at Alan Wake and wondered that that game might also be exciting. The days of Bioshock have come and gone, now im waiting for this game, I hope it wasnt canned, but if they dont show anything at this E3 than I have serious doubts if this game is still in development. Dont get me wrong, but when a game is being developed dont they release screenshots, videos, walkthroughs, and do interviews while the game is being developed to both show off their progress and market their game? Hope it does, it looks pretty cool, lets hope they pull through.
