lol nice thread!
heavy rain will certainly outdo alan wake in the story department no contest. visuals are very good too. i like the whole cinematic approach to this
but alan wake i cant help but love the setting of the game i.e. forests, mountains etc. gameplay will be good.
i will enjoy both rather than be a silly fanboy and miss out on great games for the sake of supporting your console of choice
we really havent seen anything on alan wake so you cant really compare themcoolnessmancool
yep, we really haven't seen really anything on heavy rain as well......it's like the only thing that is being hyped is exclusivity for these titles. No one really knows anything except some screen shots or a limited glorified graphics demo.
Rebel,
Possible, but not at this time. Even if it does go to PS3, I'm still getting it for PC. A game like that was developed to be looked at in its full graphical potential.
Anyway, I choose Alan Wake. Heavy Rain is probably going to turn out like Indigo Prophecy: Filled with cheeziness, Matrix-esque stupidity, and European Socialist overtones.

well heavy rain personally looks better than alan wake running in DX10 on one of the worlds most powerful PCs
so id go with heavy rain...
we really havent seen anything on alan wake so you cant really compare themcoolnessmancoolthat is true, but then again we know very little of heavy rain too... so i just looked at graphics for now, bcz we know heavy rain will have good gameplay
if you had asked this a month ago I wouldve said alan wake, however a this point I have completely fallen in love with everything about Heavy Rain :D
well alan awake is running on on an extremly powerful pc and heavy rain is on the ps3......yeah i think that kind of speaks for itself....as far as story goes.....dunnoDante2710
alan wake IS running on a extremely powerful PC. And so can Far Cry 2...doesn't mean Far Cry 2 has better graphics

Why exactly are we always comparing games that shouldn't be compared? Alan Wake and Heavy Rain are moving in 2 different directions from each other.
Heavy Rain is more focused on character development and story telling with some impressive visuals while Alan Wake seems to be taking a survival horror approach to its gameplay and story telling.
Neither of these games are in direct competition with each other and shouldn't be compared because they are two entirely different games.
So why can't we agree that both are going to be great games and just be done with it?
