"When I think about working on the game, it's almost platform agnostic because I only think about the differences between platforms and the different mechanics we can use, like the light on the PS4 pad and the stuff with Kinect 2.0," Napper says. "So I think with framerate it's pretty comparable. There's no noticeable drop or change in graphics between them. Obviously there are a lot more options to tweak and scale up on the PC."

Great to see devs able to give X1 owners the same treatment.

And TC.... "best on PC" is relative. A powerhouse PC, sure. My PC couldn't even run it. Hence one of the reasons I stick with PlayStation. At least I know every game made for my PS4 regardless on if made in 2013 or 2023 will work on the system.

Nice! Been looking forward to this game for a long time. I was debating picking it up for PC but I know a few friends will want to come over and play and get the crap scared out of us. So I'll be picking it up on the X1. Sitting on the couch together is a little more appealing then huddling around a monitor.

I got to see the game at an event a month or so ago and it was being ran on all X1's at the time. The game looked amazing so this isn't a huge surprise to me, but a nice confirmation non the less.

How does this thign still keep going on? One would think after the countless posts in every site or forum on the net discussing this, people would already know you can plug controllers on to pc and connect your pc to your TV.

This game is a Day 1 purchase. And I pray it does well so the same dev gets a crack at a sequel.

Anyway, PC version for me. I simply prefer my first person view games with mouse and keyboard. As for PC upscaled, i'm interested in seeing how different maxed out it'll look. I don't see it being much of a difference.

Wouldn't be a issue, since that's not why the game looks interesting IMO.

That's what I do....I have my PC hooked up to my HDTV and use the X1 controller. It took years for me to finally do it but now I wonder what took me so damn long because it's great.

I've been doing it for years and never understood why people think a PC can't do this. I use the 360 controller though because I refuse to go back to a wired controller! Hopefully MS will release a wireless option for PC because I'd jump on a X1 controller quick :)

It's true and I have done that. But until I build a PC that fits nicely under my TV it's not something I'd like to do all the time. It just looks awkward having my tower standing beside my tv stand lol..I just boughtnew gaming laptop so that is something I'll be trying once I receive it . Consoles are just convenient for things like that.

I'm sure it's possible to build a powerful enough compact pc to play all these games maxed but how much would I have to spend to do that? If I could price one out to $500 bucks that's what I would do for my next "desktop". No question.

Yeah I had to buy a pretty long USB cable lol, so wireless would be nice.

Developer tells Xbox magazine that the Xbox version will be A-OK!

I'm thinking it'll be Wolfenstein 1080p, the PS4 version will be better in terms of less jaggies and a more solid framerate.

My desktop is in the room next to my living room. I have a 50' HDMI cable for video and audio that connects to my HDTV. I switch it over to primary display and use it in Steam "Big Picture" mode.

I have a bluetooth receiver that I sync up to a Dual Shock 4, and an an apple Magic Track Pad for when I need to navigate mouse UI. It's an excellent setup for couch PC gaming.

Games won't be made for the PS4 in 2023... but they WILL be made for PC.

You can't beat PC on the backwards compatibility front, so the logic taking you to the PS4 is rather flawed.

Specially since even if we change the date to 2016, sure game siwll run on a PS4, but they will run and look like garbage compared to a mid range PC from 2016.

@Kinthalis: I was exaggerating of course as I don't believe PS4 will be a 10 year system like the other PlayStation systems, but its an example. You also miss the point. This isn't about backwards compatibility, it's being able to play a PS4 game on a PS4 regardless of when it's made. I can't say the same about PC as I have quite a few older PC games not compatible with Windows beyond XP.

PC specific games have UIs that are designed with the user sitting at a desk, and I don't relish using a kb & mouse on the couch.

Which is what people seem to always miss without fail. 90% of PC's will run the game worse than the PS4. So there you go.

Where did you pull that number from?

Not mad, just a realist. Know your statistics basement dweller. And IDGAF about how a shitty Alien game performs and looks, UC4 and The Order will gang rape the competition for graphics anyway.

You really shouldn't promote rape. However 2 is hardly a gang

Why can't sony fans just enjoy their console and the games? Why does everything have to be a competition. Even if it had better graphics and it was true, gamers on both sides have the same core gameplay experience. Everyone wins, except for the bitter fanboys.

I just don't know what peoples deals are. The Xbox One is just a weak POS next to the PS4. It is expected that PS4 will ALWAYS perform better on multiplats second only to PC. It's like lems want to believe the ONE has a chance with teh cloud and DX12, oh and we can't forget the whopping 32MB of ESRAM. Lol. But just give it a rest. It's the way it is. Xbone is not the place for console multiplats as of Gen 8.

I'm sick of these resolution threads about now :/

Nah, the new thing is DA SDKs. They appear to have forgotten about Diablo 3 already.

@GrenadeLauncher: In all seriousness though, rest assured SONY have the ICE Team on their side for SDK's. No matter what MS do, SONY will counteract it with a new SDK. For a more powerful machine in the first place, with a more efficient design. PS4 is sitting pretty and can't be touched by any other console in existence. FACT

Pretty much. The ICE team ended up bailing out the PS3, imagine what they'll do on the 4.

The last footage I've seen looked amazing.

I love how the graphics capture the style of a 70s sci fi movie. Just like how cuphead captures the style of a 30s cartoon XD

I guess @misterpmedia and @-Damien- only post resolution articles when there is a PS4 advantage...

Considering it's a cross-gen game like Wolfenstein and Watch Dogs, I imagine there still will be.

Funny how only Sony fanboys claim the "great weakness" of the XB1.

FACT

We are arguing about a game with a cramped environment and one monster on screen?
