Aliens: Colonial Marines to be Gearbox's next Duke Nukem Forever flop?

Sega did a stealth release, and impressions indicate that the game is pretty terrible. I suppose Nintendo fanboys must be happy since the wii-u version was delayed & pending cancellation. Since the game will be a major flop, I expect the wii-u version to be officially canned shortly.

It won't be that bad, but it will almost definiatly flop expectaions.

This game was hyped AAA at E3 with the WiiU.

As launch nears & gameplay's dropped, thats started to go down.

He probably meant it got released without much hype, but the game got hyped rather well. Not like blockbuster titles, but, hell, everyone knows about it.

Alex Navarro, Jim Sterling, Authur Gies, among others. Impressions from some early adopters on NeoGAF aren't too positive either.

The fact that there are four different developers on this should set off a red flag. It shows that Gearbox was most likely busy with more important projects and outsourced parts of the game to no-name studios that they could hire on a dime, just to get the game out of the door.

When Resident Evil fans did that we got criticized. I ended up loving the game despite the bad reviews so hopefully it works out for you the same.

Looks pretty quality to me. 

I'm pretty confident it'll score AA on most major sites/magazines. I don't consider Forever a Gearbox game as 80% of the game was old code.

What mouth? What magazine, web site, critic, or just some random person? There will always be someone that dislikes something. Nothing is universally loved, especially in the video game industry. Biases run rampant in this industry. So to say that word of mouth says a game sucks is pointless without telling us the source of said mouth/s.

No, people already finished it on Gaf and not one calls it a good game , It´s mostly an below average man to man COD game with Aliens that more or less get in the way while I was hoping it would be like the second movie, Grunts vs Aliens .

Also they started this game years ago and it shows in the already ageing graphics .
