i keep getting bonk'dcampzor
He's pretty much talking about the game and how cool he thinks the WiiU's controller is and how the controller works well for a FPS game.He also says the WiiU is stronger then the current gen consoles and that the WiiU version will most likely be the best version of the game.
[QUOTE="zimmerman187"]the unreal engine 3 cant do aliens environments worth a **** its not dark enough. lol super600
Who are you new user?
i had aliens trilogy on VHS 1-3 before part 4 was even released in 97 lol. The engine just cant render the atmosphere properly.I'm not a huge fan of fps by any stretch of the imagination, but I am kinda looking forward to this.ispeakfact
Same here. I cant stand all FPS games over the recent years but this is one im very much looking forward too. Ive have been waiting for a fully realized Aliens game for the last 20 years. Here it is.

modern times have ruined this game.modern times have ruined this game.zimmerman187
Modern times have pretty much ruined all games. Call Of Duty has pretty much ruined the entire game industry.
This is old news.
I would've rather had a Survival Horror Aliens game that took place during hadley's Hope/LV-426 when it got overtaken by Xenomorphs and you played as a surviving colonist trying to escape.
Colonial Marines looks ok I guess...but i'm soo sick of shooters this gen.
I have alien franchise action figure/toys still in their package from 92/93.I know who you are. You're that guy that loves the olden days of gaming.

I saw another thread about this exact topic created a hour or two after this one.
Figured I owed a post to the original SW thread...so I'll do a copy paste job for part of this post.
1.) The game looks good.
2.) It has been delated so many times I'm worried, so I don't have high expectations.
3.) I hope it's as awesome as I imagined it would be a few years ago
4.) I hope it lives up to the older PC game I used to love.
5.) It's company PR, so I automatically don't trust it. I do like GearBox's trackrecord recently though.

About the Wii U talk :
I remember when the Wii was getting last Generation ports.
Now, we are reading about the Wii U getting this generation ports.
It's nice and all, and I hope the developer PR is accurate...but it's not a reason to buy a new machine. I'm not buying a Wii U to play Gearbox games, AC3, or Madden. I will buy a Wii U to play exclusives that take advantage of their tablet gaming. I'm not interested in cross developed multiplats that try to shoehorn that tablet into stupid non-ergonomic functions. While I have no idea if that's what Gearbox is doing, it's certainly something I expect from a ton of multiplatform 3rd party developers/publishers.
I am not sure this bodes well when the other next generation machines roll out (720/PS4), if there is a similar divide again between Nintendo and the other console companies (graphical fidelity), we will see a repeat of 3rd parties leaving the Wii U for higher tech pastures. It's up to 720/PS4 to deliver of course.
It all comes down to this : "When it releases, I'll look at the game then." :)
I am not bashing anything, there's nothing bad here. I'm just putting some perspective on the matter. My thoughts. I never trust PR in general, including the doubt on the Wii U hardware, and I don't like the idea of getting HYPEd for a current gen port. I should be clear, I have no idea the direction PS4/720 are going as I said above. There is a high probability they will ape Nintendo's Wii approach and go low spec/lower price next gen. If that happens, the Wii U will be just fine.
This particular game has been delayed so much, I'm frankly worried on the final product.I have a sneaking suspicion this game once released will be as memorable as The Darkness (not a bad game, but not memorable either), or worse. I hope the best, but I'm prepared for the worst.
I'm just posting my thoughts on this PR and the idea of running current gen ports on the Wii U. Some food for thought that perhaps others in SW don't want to think about, refuse to think about, never occured to them, or have already thought about it.
I'll tell you what. Devs should HALT all PR talk on power/graphics, and start talking about how innovative their game will be on the Tablet. How amazing their game will be on Nintendo's Network, etc.
Every machine gets ports, however the Wii was notorious for continuing that last gen port trend due to the technological divide.
I'm aware of the fact that the 720/PS4 may go the same exact route on low poser though.
Honestly though, that's okay. I'm not buying a Wii U for Gearbox ports, or other 3rd Party ports...I haven't even gone into the Online variable. That is to say, Aliens will probably have online, and the Wii U's online is up in the air so to speak. They are nice to have sure, but I don't expect much.
I'm buying a Wii U for Exclusives.
Developers want to impress me with PR?
Instead of talking about System Power and Graphics, talk about how they used the Tablet controller. That's much more exciting imo, we all have an idea of the power at this point due to Nintendo PR on the subject. (Yes, I know Randy talked a bit about the controller and online).
