We're just a few short weeks away from Microsoft and Sony battling for next-gen console mindshare at E3, but according to a "Save the Date" sent to the press by Alienware, PC gamers will also have something to look forward to. Alienware has scheduled a launch event for unspecified new products on the evening of June 10th

they are going to reveal that they buy all their hardware from cyberpower, put an alienhead  sticker  on it and resell it after adding $400 to the price tag.

THe only one of their products I say isn't that great is the Aurora's not enough customization options and they put the CPU ahead of the GPU in price on the basemodel which is why even alienware owners would recommend something else or just build it

Alienware isn't relevant in PC gaming let alone E3.YoshiYogurt

I really wouldn't say that considering I've been seeing the Alienware logo show up on more PC games and the X51 seems to be getting some attention

it will never be worth the money.... it cost almost as much as x3 the price it would cost you to simply build it yourself. And the design is hideous.

I am not a fan of Alienware desktops but they have good marketing and great support and warranties.  However, their notebooks are the best in the business.  While notebooks are expensive, it is my preferred mode of gaming over desktops at this point.  My rig in sig was purchased in July of 2011.  It came with 6970s which had problems and I was upgraded to a completely new system with the Nvidia 580s which was quite a generous upgrade at the time.  The GPU's went bad a bit after my warranty expired but I spoke to the right person and they sent out a Dell tech to upgrade the GPU's last summer.  This will easily last me to 2014 when the Maxwell GPUs are out and will get another good 3-4 years of gaming. 

I have no problems with Alienware on the notebook side of things.  There is a great community of owners and forums for them and the cooling of their customized Clevo chassis is truly the best.  Plus, when you are paying a lot for a computer it does help to have a great aesthetic design.  While I completely know that PC gaming can be cheap to build on the desktop side of things (I have built a few), I have NO problem paying extra for a great notebook.  And despite what many believe...their notebooks are NOT the most expensive when you are talking about multi-GPU solutions.  20% off coupons are common in the Dell Outlet in the US and even 15% off new computers when dealing with reps is common.  Dell is huge and if you know how to purchase a system intelligently, there are a TON of savings when dealing with Alienware. 

i have a aurora r-4 i73960x.16/1600,512 samsung ssd,wifi,blutooth,bluray,oh yes and a sweet 690gtx........................fap it...........

How about a new Ultrabook-y M11x or even better, an M13x. The M11x was a decent machine and I understand it was selling well. Not sure why they killed it.
